Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $33,068, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $25,054 average.
• It adds a redesigned, more modern crew-cab-only layout with stronger standard tech.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2022 if you want a lower entry price and a broad pool of listings to shop from. Consider the 2023 if you’re willing to pay more for the redesigned truck and its newer-feeling package. If price matters most, the 2022 is the better value path; if you want the newer design and can stretch your budget, the 2023 is the upgrade path.
