How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV cost?

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV earns a 4.7/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its affordability, efficiency, and comfort in urban driving, and many also like the beautiful interior, convenience features, and smooth one-pedal driving experience. The overview also points to strong value for money and easy everyday livability, which fits buyers who want an affordable EV that feels well equipped.

The trade-offs are fairly pedestrian performance and the lack of all-wheel drive, so it is better suited to relaxed commuting than to buyers who want extra punch or traction options. Even so, the market still shows 36.4% good or great deals, which supports the case for value-focused shoppers.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a car that feels affordable, efficient, and comfortable in urban driving, while also being easy to live with over time. It also highlights the smooth one-pedal driving experience and the sense that the car delivers dependable everyday usability.

The expert evaluation reinforces that impression by describing the Bolt EUV as a strong value with a comfortable ride and straightforward daily-driver manners. Chevy also includes an eight-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty, which helps reduce long-term ownership risk for used buyers.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on an EV where battery condition and charging behavior matter. Focus on overall condition, charging equipment, and whether the car has been used mostly for home charging or frequent DC fast charging. If possible, ask for battery state-of-health information and confirm how much of the battery warranty remains.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LT trim leaves out Super Cruise, while the Premier can add it as an option and the Launch Edition makes it standard. The Launch Edition also gets model-specific alloy wheels, an illuminated charge port, and a standard panoramic sunroof.
• Powertrain: It uses a single electric motor with 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, plus front-wheel drive. Chevy did not offer all-wheel drive, and the performance is described as fairly pedestrian rather than exciting.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, a forward-distance indicator, and front pedestrian braking. Super Cruise is not available on the base LT, is optional on the Premier, and standard on the Launch Edition.
• Infotainment: The standard setup includes a 10.2-inch touchscreen, an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and standard wireless phone charging. It is also available with a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot and Amazon Alexa compatibility.
• Range & charging: Chevy quotes 250 miles of range. The onboard charger is 11 kilowatts, and DC fast charging can recover up to 95 miles of range in 30 minutes. The standard Dual Level Charge Cord supports 120-volt or 240-volt charging at reduced power.
• Battery health: For a used EV, you should confirm battery state-of-health, ask how often the car has been DC fast charged versus charged at home, and review the remaining battery warranty coverage before you buy.

Which 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV trim should I buy?

The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV is offered in 3 trim levels: LT, Premier, Launch Edition.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the value-focused starting point, but it is the trim where Super Cruise is not available. It makes sense if you want the lowest entry price and are comfortable with the standard safety and tech equipment.
• Premier: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds the more upscale trim position and can be equipped with Super Cruise. It also gets leather upholstery, making it the most balanced pick if you want more comfort and available driver-assist tech without jumping to the limited edition.
• Launch Edition: This is the most feature-rich version, with Super Cruise standard, plus model-specific alloy wheels, an illuminated charge port, and a panoramic sunroof. It suits you if you want the most distinctive and fully equipped Bolt EUV.

Super Cruise is not available on the base LT, optional on the Premier, and standard on the Launch Edition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing softness to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 390 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.87% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,667, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV's resale value?

The current average of $19,983 sits slightly below last year's $20,574.

That softer pricing suggests the market has moved in buyers' favor, which can make the car easier to purchase now but may also temper future resale gains. If you buy at a strong discount, you may be better positioned when it comes time to sell. The current price range also shows that well-kept examples still hold meaningful value, especially when they are priced near the lower end of the market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV safe?

The Bolt EUV earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, a forward-distance indicator, and front pedestrian braking. Super Cruise is the standout driver-assistance system here, and it uses a driver-facing camera plus steering-wheel lighting to monitor attention and communicate system status. It is not available on the base LT, is optional on the Premier, and standard on the Launch Edition.

The safety content also notes that crash-test ratings from NHTSA and IIHS are available, but no specific ratings are provided in the data here.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It was the first non-Cadillac model with GM Super Cruise, giving it a standout driver-assist advantage.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $21,214, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $19,983 average.
• Chevrolet significantly lowered prices and made it one of the most affordable new EVs.

The bottom line: If you want the better used-market value, the 2022 is the smarter starting point because prices have softened and inventory is available. If you are comparing across years and want the newer pricing structure and lower new-car cost, the 2023 is worth a look, but price-sensitive buyers should start with the 2022.
