How much does the 2022 Cadillac XT6 cost?

Prices have softened 15.42% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,007 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable selection to compare.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT6 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Cadillac XT6 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

It fits best if you want a midsize, three-row luxury crossover with a comfortable ride and strong technology. The trade-offs are clear: styling is uninspired, performance is fairly pedestrian, and the third row is cramped.

The market looks reasonably favorable, with 32.3% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT6 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The XT6 is positioned as a polished family hauler, and the expert review emphasizes comfort, technology, and safety over excitement. Its performance is described as competent and quiet rather than thrilling, which can be a plus if you value a calm daily drive.

The powertrain is presented as sufficiently powerful, and the cabin insulation helps keep drivetrain noise in check. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the XT6’s premium features and complex tech can make condition and maintenance history especially important.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Cadillac XT6?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury SUV with advanced driver-assistance tech. Focus on overall condition, how the electronics operate, and whether the cabin and exterior show signs of heavy use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Cadillac sells the XT6 in Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trim levels, and the base trim is the least richly equipped. The higher trims add more upscale presentation, while the Sport trim brings a more athletic character.
• Powertrain: The standard turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder makes 235 horsepower, while Premium Luxury and Sport use a 3.6-liter V6 with 310 horsepower. All-wheel drive is available with either engine.
• Safety package: The available Super Cruise system is the headline driver-assistance feature, and the standard safety list includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. Adaptive cruise control and semi-autonomous park assist are available, and some features are tied to the optional Platinum Package.
• Infotainment: The XT6 uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected services, WiFi hotspot access, and available embedded navigation. It also offers voice recognition, though the screen size is modest for the class.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 with AWD is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2022 Cadillac XT6 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Cadillac XT6 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, and it gives you the XT6 experience at the lowest price. It makes the most sense if you want the model’s core comfort and three-row layout without paying for extra equipment.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the more desirable V6 and a more upscale feel. It suits you best if you want the XT6’s comfort and tech without jumping to the highest-priced version.
• Sport: Choose this if you want the XT6 with a more performance-oriented appearance and character. It is the right pick if you care more about the sportier presentation than pure value.

The available safety tech is a major strength, but some of the most advanced features are tied to optional packages rather than every trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Cadillac XT6?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,007 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.42% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,916, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Cadillac XT6's resale value?

The current average of $28,916 sits slightly below last year's $34,189.

That decline suggests the XT6 has become more accessible to used buyers, which can help demand among shoppers looking for a luxury three-row SUV at a lower entry point. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation from here than someone who paid closer to the prior-year average.

The model’s strong safety reputation and solid owner satisfaction can help support future demand. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should remain easier to move than neglected ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT6 safe?

The 2022 Cadillac XT6 earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and five-star ratings in every crash-test evaluation from NHTSA, plus a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

The XT6’s standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. Available features include adaptive cruise control, semi-autonomous park assist, Night Vision, and Super Cruise.

Super Cruise is the standout driver-assistance system, but it is not flawless and requires you to stay ready to take over immediately. The expert review also notes that some of the most advanced safety features are not standard on every trim.

Should I buy a 2022 Cadillac XT6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 stands out for its strong safety ratings and improved differentiation and execution.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $25,805, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $28,916 average.
• It offers a premium-feeling three-row layout with broad appeal and a spacious third row.

The bottom line: Choose the 2022 if you want the stronger market position, better safety reputation, and a more compelling used-shopping case. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the better value path, especially if you can find one in clean condition with the equipment you want.
