Used 2022 Cadillac XT5 for Sale nearNashville, TN

How much does the 2022 Cadillac XT5 cost?

Prices have softened 12.57% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,448 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT5 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Cadillac XT5 earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 6.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, smooth performance, and spacious interior, and many also call out the powerful V6 and safety features. That lines up with the XT5’s use case as a refined, familiar luxury crossover that emphasizes comfort and upscale equipment more than bold personality.

The main trade-offs are its weak value for money and the fact that advanced safety features are not standard. Even so, the market still shows 36.8% good or great deals, which suggests you can shop selectively and still find worthwhile listings.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with repeated praise for comfort, smooth performance, and a spacious cabin that owners seem happy to live with over time. The expert drive notes also emphasize the XT5’s quiet cabin and smooth, quick-shifting transmission, which supports the impression of a well-sorted daily driver.

Cadillac’s warranty coverage includes a four-year, 50,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty and a six-year, 70,000-mile powertrain limited warranty. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the XT5’s stronger features often depend on options, so condition and equipment level matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Cadillac XT5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on wear, electronics, and any signs that the vehicle has been used hard or poorly maintained. Pay close attention to whether the car has the equipment you want, since some of the XT5’s best features are optional rather than standard.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Luxury trim is the entry point, while Premium Luxury and Sport add more upscale presentation and equipment. The base model is the one most likely to leave you wanting more, especially because some of the XT5’s more convincing luxury touches are tied to higher trims or packages.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a turbocharged four-cylinder and a naturally aspirated V6, both paired with a nine-speed automatic. The V6 is the stronger choice if you want smoother, more confident everyday acceleration.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear park assist, automatic high-beam headlamps, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and the Safety Alert Seat. Adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, rear automatic braking, rear pedestrian alert, surround-view camera, night vision, automatic parking assist, and blind-spot monitoring are available, but not all are standard.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot. An 8-inch digital instrument cluster display and a head-up display are available with the Technology Package.
• Fuel efficiency: The base turbo-four is rated at 24 mpg combined with FWD and 23 mpg combined with AWD. The V6 is rated at 21 mpg combined with either FWD or AWD.

Which 2022 Cadillac XT5 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Cadillac XT5 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry trim, and it gives you the XT5 experience at the lowest price. It makes the most sense if you want the model’s comfort and space without stretching for extras, but it is also the trim most likely to feel stripped of the nicer touches that make the XT5 feel truly upscale.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it adds a more traditional Cadillac look and can be paired with the V6 and useful option packages. If you want the XT5 to feel like a proper luxury SUV rather than just a comfortable one, this is the trim to target.
• Sport: This is the most distinctive trim, with darker styling cues, a mesh grille, standard 20-inch wheels, and the V6 as standard. It suits you best if you want the XT5’s strongest visual presence and don’t mind paying more for it.

The Safety content notes that advanced driver-assistance features are not fully standard, so check equipment carefully by trim and package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Cadillac XT5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,448 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.57% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,103, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Cadillac XT5's resale value?

The current average of $28,103 sits slightly below last year's $32,143.

That decline suggests the XT5 has moved into a more buyer-friendly pricing zone, which can help you if you’re shopping now but may pressure resale if you plan to sell soon. A softer market usually means future sellers need to be more realistic on price, especially if their vehicle lacks desirable options or has higher mileage.

The XT5’s broad appeal still helps, though, because comfort, space, and a premium badge can keep demand steady among shoppers looking for a familiar luxury crossover. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT5 safe?

The 2022 Cadillac XT5 earns Good ratings in all IIHS crash tests, a Superior rating for front-crash prevention tech when equipped with optional enhanced automatic emergency braking, and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA with five-star frontal and side crash ratings and four-star rollover crash testing.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear park assist, automatic high-beam headlamps, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and the Safety Alert Seat. An optional Driver Assist Package adds adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and rear automatic braking, while the Technology Package adds rear pedestrian alert, surround-vision camera, night vision, and automatic parking assist.

One caveat to keep in mind is the XT5’s Marginal headlight rating and Acceptable LATCH ease-of-use score, so you should pay attention to lighting and child-seat usability if those matter to you.

Should I buy a 2022 Cadillac XT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It carries over with minimal changes and adds Sport trim updates plus new paint choices.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,729, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $28,103 average.
• It offers a more finely appointed feel with easy-to-use technology and broad appeal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,718, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $28,103 average.
• It emphasizes style, space, and comfort with a polished presence.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, availability, and current-year features, the 2022 is the smart default. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the better value play. If you want to spend more for a newer-feeling alternative, the 2023 is worth a look, but it asks for a higher budget.
