Is the 2022 Cadillac CT5 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Cadillac CT5 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview frames it as a midsize luxury sedan that aims to deliver driving appeal, space, and prestige at a lower price than pricier German rivals, while its fastback-style design and sharp Cadillac styling give it a more expressive look than many mainstream luxury sedans. It also stands out for its mix of technology and performance, including a 10-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus available Super Cruise and multiple turbocharged engine choices. With 33.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful share of the market to shop from.

Is the 2022 Cadillac CT5 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests the CT5 can be a compelling used luxury sedan if you value style, available tech, and a broad feature set. It also notes some tradeoffs, including a cabin that is tighter than expected and a base engine that is noisy and underpowered for the car’s mission. For long-term ownership, that means your biggest risk is less about outright appeal and more about choosing the right configuration and condition so you avoid a version that feels underwhelming day to day.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Cadillac CT5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the car closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or deferred maintenance. Focus on overall condition, especially the cabin and any signs that the car has been used hard, since the CT5’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been kept. A careful pre-purchase inspection is especially worthwhile if you want to make sure the car still feels refined and well sorted.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Cadillac CT5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 716 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $32,166, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Cadillac CT5's resale value?

The current average of $33,607 sits slightly above last year's $33,338.

That small increase suggests the CT5 has held its value fairly steadily rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For a future seller, that kind of pricing pattern can be helpful because it points to a market that is stable enough to support predictable resale planning. It also means your eventual selling price will likely depend more on condition, mileage, and trim than on broad market movement.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Cadillac CT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,744, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $33,607 average.
• It emphasizes sharper handling and more impressive technology.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2022 if you want the better value play, especially since pricing is steady and deal availability is decent. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model year and place extra weight on driving character and tech, the 2023 is the alternative to compare. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2022 is the more practical starting point.
