Accident-free inventory is solid at 81% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the car’s condition matches the listing. If possible, test the seating position and cabin space yourself, since some owners note that the rear seat and racing seats can feel tight.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. Should I buy a 2022 BMW M8 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $83,044, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $75,647 average.
• It adds a standard 12.3-inch touchscreen and Competition-only positioning.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2022 is the smarter starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability and strong owner satisfaction. If you are willing to pay more for the newer model’s updates, the 2023 is the better secondary path.
