You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or deferred maintenance. A careful test drive should confirm that the SUV feels smooth, quiet, and consistent in normal driving.

What is the 2022 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $25,173 sits slightly below last year's $30,049.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum alone. If you keep the vehicle clean, well maintained, and properly documented, you improve your odds of standing out when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 41.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $21,859, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $25,173 average.
• It adds a plug-in hybrid option.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $29,864, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $25,173 average.
• It offers a quieter cabin and more polished everyday refinement.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want a strong mix of value, inventory, and broad appeal. If your priority is spending less, the 2021 is the better budget path; if you want to stretch for a newer-feeling alternative, the 2023 is the premium step up.
