Used 2022 Acura RDX for Sale nearMadison, WI

How much does the 2022 Acura RDX cost?

Prices have softened 6.35% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,797 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable selection to compare.

Is the 2022 Acura RDX a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Acura RDX earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise the smooth drive, comfortable interior, and strong sense of quality. The review summary also points to useful storage capacity and a well-liked feature set, which fits the RDX’s role as a practical luxury SUV.

The main trade-offs are the unintuitive technology and the rear seat, which is described as uncomfortable. In use, that means you may love the driving experience and cabin quality, but you should be ready to live with an interface that takes some adjustment.

The RDX’s appeal is strongest if you want an entry-level luxury SUV that balances everyday usefulness with driving enjoyment. Good and great deals account for 37.7% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Acura RDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise for comfort, quality, and the kind of smooth driving behavior that tends to build confidence over time. The expert evaluation also emphasizes the RDX’s refined ride and improved quietness, which supports the impression of a well-sorted SUV.

Acura’s added sound insulation and road-noise reductions help the RDX feel more mature and settled on the road. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about whether you’ll be comfortable living with the interface and rear-seat compromises.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Acura RDX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on cabin condition, electronics behavior, and how the SUV drives over rough pavement. Since the RDX’s technology is a recurring complaint, make sure the infotainment and driver-assist systems work the way you expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes the base model plus Technology, A-Spec, Advance, A-Spec Advance, and the limited-production PMC Edition. The base model is the most stripped-down version, while higher packages add more equipment and a quieter, more upscale feel.
• Powertrain: Every 2022 RDX uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on the base, Technology, and A-Spec packages, while SH-AWD is standard on Advance and A-Spec Advance and available on some lower packages.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch is standard and includes pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring with lane-change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. With the Technology package and higher, you also get front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking.
• Infotainment: The system uses a 10.2-inch display with a touchpad controller. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, along with Amazon Alexa Built-in, a wireless charging pad, satellite radio, and AcuraLink connected services with Wi-Fi hotspot access.
• Fuel efficiency: The evaluation loop returned 20.6 mpg, and the RDX is described as not getting near its EPA fuel economy rating when driven hard.

Which 2022 Acura RDX trim should I buy?

The 2022 Acura RDX is offered in 5 trim levels: base model, Technology, A-Spec, Advance, and A-Spec Advance.

Here's the short version:

• base model: This is the entry point if you want the RDX’s core strengths at the lowest price. It gives you the standard turbocharged engine, the 10-speed automatic, AcuraWatch, wireless smartphone integration, and the basic 9-speaker audio setup.
• Technology: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a navigation system and a 12-speaker ELS Studio audio system while keeping the RDX’s everyday usability intact. If you want more convenience without jumping too far up the price ladder, this is the trim to focus on.
• A-Spec: Choose this if you want a sportier look and a more expressive feel without moving into the pricier upper packages. It keeps the RDX’s strong driving character while adding a more distinctive appearance.
• Advance: This is the comfort-focused upgrade, and it’s the trim to consider if you want the quieter, more refined side of the RDX. It adds the standard SH-AWD system, adaptive damping, a 10.5-inch head-up display, and the more upscale equipment set.
• A-Spec Advance: This is the most fully equipped mainstream trim and the one to buy if you want the richest mix of style, comfort, and features. It combines the sportier appearance of A-Spec with the added refinement and equipment of Advance, but it also pushes pricing into premium territory.

AcuraWatch is standard across the lineup, while front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking start with the Technology package and higher.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Acura RDX?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,797 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.35% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,056, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $31,126 sits slightly below last year's $33,236.

That softer pricing suggests the RDX has become more accessible to used buyers, which can help demand stay healthy if you decide to sell later. For you, that means the market is currently rewarding shoppers more than sellers, but it also creates a clearer entry point if you buy at the right price.

Because the year-over-year change is negative, future resale upside may depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum. Well-kept examples with desirable features should still attract attention, especially if they present as clean, refined, and well maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Acura RDX safe?

The 2022 Acura RDX earns a five-star overall crash-test rating from NHTSA, with four-star frontal-impact and rollover resistance ratings and five-star side-impact ratings.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch is the standard driver-assistance suite, and it includes pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring with lane-change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. With the Technology package and higher, you also get front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking.

A caveat to keep in mind is that Acura says the structural updates are intended to support a Top Safety Pick+ result, but the IIHS had not yet published ratings for this model year at the time of the data. The expert notes also mention that the lane-keeping and lane-centering systems can issue false warnings in some conditions.

Should I buy a 2022 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 adds more refinement, a quieter cabin, and updated equipment.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,305, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $31,126 average.
• It offers a modernized RDX with strong value and practical luxury appeal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,762, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $31,126 average.
• It keeps the RDX competitive with strong performance, comfort, and value.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, refinement, and feature content, the 2022 is the smart default. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the better value play. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer-feeling alternative, the 2023 is worth a look, but the 2022 remains the sweet spot for many used buyers.
