How much does the 2021 RAM 2500 cost?

Is the 2021 RAM 2500 a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its performance, safety features, and value for money, and many also like the impressive power and fuel efficiency, especially with the diesel engine. For you, that means this model year fits especially well if you want a heavy-duty truck that still feels refined and useful for daily driving, family duties, or towing. With 32.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s also a decent amount of market value to work with.

Is the 2021 RAM 2500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels dependable, with praise centered on performance and value that can matter over the long haul. That kind of response is encouraging if you want a used heavy-duty pickup you can count on for work and towing. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the truck’s condition matches its mileage and use history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 RAM 2500?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any truck you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the drivetrain, suspension, brakes, and towing-related wear, since heavy-duty trucks often see harder use than lighter pickups. Focus on overall condition and maintenance evidence so you can separate a well-kept truck from one that has been worked hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 RAM 2500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,779 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.97% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 77.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $39,388, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $39,388 sits slightly below last year's $44,243.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more selectively now but may also temper near-term resale upside if you plan to sell soon. If you keep the truck in strong condition and maintain it well, you’ll be better positioned when it’s time to trade or sell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $38,450, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $39,388 average.
• It emphasizes luxury, technology, and capability in a refined heavy-duty package.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2021 is the better default choice. If your priority is saving a bit more upfront, the 2020 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the upscale heavy-duty appeal that makes this truck stand out.
