How much does the 2021 Porsche Panamera cost?

Prices have softened 1.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 182 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare trims, mileage, and condition.

Is the 2021 Porsche Panamera a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Porsche Panamera earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

The Panamera stands out because it blends Porsche’s sports-car character with the practicality of a four-door sedan. It sits in the middle of Porsche’s lineup, giving you more everyday usefulness than the brand’s sports cars while staying closer in spirit to them than the SUVs. For you, that means a luxury sedan that still feels driver-focused and distinctive.

The trade-offs are that it is not a pure sports car and a manual transmission is not available. Even so, the model’s broad range of powertrains, body styles, and driving-focused character make it appealing if you want a premium sedan with strong performance and versatility.

31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2021 Porsche Panamera reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Panamera’s appeal is reinforced by its strong performance focus and the way Porsche positions it as a practical but still enthusiast-oriented sedan. The expert review also highlights that the car’s technology and driving enjoyment are among its strengths, which supports the idea that it is built to satisfy owners over time.

Porsche’s performance tuning and premium engineering suggest a car that can feel special for years, but used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition because ownership costs can be high.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Porsche Panamera?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on higher-mileage or heavily optioned examples. Focus on wear items, signs of prior damage, and whether the car’s condition matches its asking price. Because this model can be expensive to maintain, a clean, well-documented example is especially important.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base models get eight-way power adjustable front seats with a driver memory package, while Turbo S models get standard 18-way adjustable seats with full leather upholstery. The Panamera can be luxurious or sporty depending on the trim, so you should compare seat support, materials, and overall cabin character carefully.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6, a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, and plug-in hybrid setups. The base V6 makes 325 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque, while the V8 and hybrid options add much more performance.
• Safety package: Standard safety features include lane-keep assist, parking sensors, and traffic sign recognition. Blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control cost extra, and Porsche’s InnoDrive adds more automation through navigation integration.
• Infotainment: The cabin includes a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, reconfigurable digital displays, Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wired Android Auto. The system is designed to be straightforward rather than gimmicky.
• Fuel efficiency: The base six-cylinder model is rated at 20 mpg combined, while the optional V8 knocks a couple of mpg off those fuel-economy ratings. The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid is rated at 52 MPGe combined with 19 miles of electric range, or 22 mpg combined in hybrid mode.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Porsche Panamera?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 182 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.95% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $60,925, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Porsche Panamera's resale value?

The current average of $64,038 sits slightly below last year's $65,312.

That modest decline suggests the market has softened a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may also mean future resale gains are more limited if prices continue to drift. If you plan to sell later, buying well matters more than ever because your exit price will depend heavily on trim, condition, and mileage.

The year-round range also shows that values can move meaningfully over time, so a clean, well-optioned example bought near the low end should hold up better than an overpriced one.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Porsche Panamera safe?

It earns 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include lane-keep assist, parking sensors, and traffic sign recognition. Blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control are extra-cost items, and Porsche’s InnoDrive system adds more automation through navigation integration.

The main caveat is that the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration haven’t published safety ratings for this model year, so you won’t get the usual crash-test benchmark. That makes a careful inspection of the car’s equipment and condition even more important.

Should I buy a 2021 Porsche Panamera or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 model year brings powertrain and suspension upgrades, new tires, a reshuffled lineup, and subtle styling changes.

The bottom line: If you want the updated version with stronger performance tuning and a broad range of configurations, the 2021 is the better path. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may still make sense, but you should compare condition, equipment, and asking price closely before deciding.
