Used 2021 Nissan Rogue for Sale nearEl Paso, TX

How much does the 2021 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 10.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,047 listings available, which suggests solid inventory availability.

Is the 2021 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Nissan Rogue earns a 5/5 user rating and a 9.00/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the smooth and refined ride, roomy interior, and attractive design, and they also see strong value for the price. In use, that lines up well with the Rogue’s polished, comfort-first character and its upscale-feeling cabin. The main trade-offs are fairly pedestrian performance and a stereo that falls short of the rest of the package. Even so, if you want a compact crossover that emphasizes everyday livability and a premium feel, this year’s Rogue fits that brief well.

Good and great deals account for 35.5% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels smooth, refined, and trouble-free in daily use, with many drivers describing it as dependable and well suited to long-term ownership. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the Rogue’s ride and handling are well tuned, and the CVT is described as a good one because you barely notice it. That combination of owner confidence and a composed driving experience supports the case for durability.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the vehicle has been maintained properly, since any modern crossover can become costly if neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Nissan Rogue?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the drivetrain, electronics, and interior condition, since those are the areas most likely to affect your ownership experience. It also makes sense to compare trim equipment closely, because the Rogue’s feature set changes meaningfully as you move up the lineup.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Rogue S starts the lineup with an 8-inch touchscreen, while the SV adds NissanConnect Services, a WiFi hotspot, and Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant integration. The SL adds more upscale equipment, and Platinum brings the most luxurious cabin treatment with quilted semi-aniline leather, contrast stitching, and ambient lighting. If you want the best value, the SV is the most popular trim level and adds meaningful convenience features without jumping all the way to the top.
• Powertrain: The Rogue uses a direct-injected 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 181 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque, paired with a continuously variable transmission. Available all-wheel drive, up to 8.2 inches of ground clearance, and Snow and Off-Road driving modes broaden its capability, but the engine is still tuned more for everyday use than quick acceleration.
• Safety package: Every Rogue gets Nissan Safety Shield 360, including automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. Adaptive cruise control is not part of the base safety bundle; it starts with the SV as part of ProPilot Assist, which also adds lane-centering assistance and a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: S trim includes an 8-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Move to the SV or SL and you add NissanConnect Services, a WiFi hotspot, and voice assistant integration. The SL Premium Package and Platinum upgrade to a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, navigation, and a Bose premium audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The tested front-wheel-drive SL returned 27.5 mpg on a mixed driving loop.

Which 2021 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2021 Nissan Rogue is offered in 4 trim levels: Rogue S, Rogue SV, Rogue SL, Rogue Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• Rogue S: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Rogue experience with the 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the standard Safety Shield 360 suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the redesigned Rogue, but it leaves out some of the convenience and tech upgrades that make the higher trims feel more complete.
• Rogue SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds NissanConnect Services, a WiFi hotspot, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant integration, adaptive cruise control through ProPilot Assist, lane-centering assistance, and a surround-view camera system. If you want the most balanced mix of features and price, this is the trim to target.
• Rogue SL: This trim moves the Rogue closer to a luxury feel with a standard panoramic glass sunroof, more upscale interior materials, and the option for the Premium Package. It suits you if you want a more polished cabin and are willing to pay for it.
• Rogue Platinum: This is the top trim and brings the most upscale interior treatment, plus the largest tech upgrades, including wireless smartphone charging, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.8-inch head-up display. Choose it if you want the most fully loaded Rogue.

Safety Shield 360 is standard across the lineup, while ProPilot Assist starts with the SV and gets upgraded with Navi-link on the SL Premium Package and Platinum.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Nissan Rogue?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,047 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.95% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 75.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,422, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $18,422 sits slightly below last year's $20,686.

That price movement suggests the Rogue has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right number. A lower entry price today can reduce the amount of value left to lose over the next ownership period. It also means your resale outcome will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim choice, since well-kept examples should stand out more in a softer market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2021 Nissan Rogue earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. Every Rogue also gets ten airbags, a driver monitoring system, and a rear-seat reminder system. ProPilot Assist starts with the SV and adds adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assistance, while the SL Premium Package and Platinum upgrade to Navi-link technology for more advanced speed adjustment.

One caveat is that the system can still behave in unanticipated ways and can issue frequent audible notifications. The Navi-link setup can also slow the SUV too much in some situations.

Should I buy a 2021 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesign brings a premium-feeling interior, strong tech, and a much more polished driving experience.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $15,335, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $18,422 average.
• It remains a practical, easy-to-live-with SUV with broad appeal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $19,385, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $18,422 average.
• It adds a new turbocharged engine and improved efficiency.

The bottom line: if you want the best blend of refinement, features, and current-market value, the 2021 is the strongest choice. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2020 can still make sense, but you give up the redesigned Rogue’s more upscale feel. If you want newer mechanical updates and can stretch your budget, the 2022 is worth a look.
