Used 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA for Sale nearProvidence, RI

How much does the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA cost?

Prices have softened 10.42% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 629 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA a good car?

Generally — the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA earns a 4.33/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The redesign gives you a compact, easy-to-maneuver small SUV that avoids feeling cramped, and it brings multiple powertrain options, including a powerful engine. The trade-offs are clear, though: poor ride quality, poor handling, and limited cargo space.

That makes it a better fit if you want a fresh, tech-forward luxury crossover with a small footprint than if you need maximum refinement or practicality. 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA reliable?

Owners rate it 4.33/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2021 GLA’s redesign and compact packaging point to a modern, well-sorted small SUV, and the expert evaluation highlights strong technology and multiple powertrain choices. The turbocharged setup delivers useful power, but the powertrain can feel unrefined in everyday driving, especially off the line.

Mercedes also includes a car-wash function that helps protect convenience features during automated washes, which is a nice ownership perk. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the GLA’s premium feel can be undermined by its less-refined ride and cabin noise, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment. Focus on overall condition, cabin wear, and whether the vehicle feels as tight and composed as you’d expect from a newer luxury SUV.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The entry-level model sits below the rest of Mercedes’ SUV lineup, and the interior materials can feel less premium than you might expect for the badge. Standard LED headlights help, while adaptive LED headlights are available as part of a package.
• Powertrain: The GLA 250 and GLA 250 4MATIC use a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, while AMG versions add more power and more aggressive hardware. The standard turbo-four is rated at 25 mpg city, 34 mpg highway, and 28 mpg combined, and the 4MATIC version returns one mpg less in each category.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes a rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, forward-collision warning, vehicle-exit warning, automatic emergency braking, driver-drowsiness monitoring, crosswind assist, and traditional cruise control. The Driver Assistance Package adds adaptive cruise control, active lane-keeping assist, active blind-spot assist, active brake assist with cross-traffic intervention, evasive steering assist, route-based speed adjustment, and more, while the Parking Assistance Package adds a surround-view camera and parking assist.
• Infotainment: Standard MBUX includes two 7.0-inch display screens, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and four USB ports. You can upgrade to a 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless device charging, a WiFi hotspot, navigation, head-up display, and a 12-speaker Burmester audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The standard turbo-four returns 25 mpg city, 34 mpg highway, and 28 mpg combined, while the 4MATIC version does one mpg worse in each category.

Which 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA trim should I buy?

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA is offered in 3 trim levels: GLA 250, GLA 250 4MATIC, AMG GLA 35.

Here's the short version:

• GLA 250: This is the most affordable way into the redesigned GLA, and it gives you the core package: the turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, standard MBUX with dual 7.0-inch screens, and the full set of basic safety features. It’s the best-value choice if you want the new-generation design and technology without paying for extra performance or all-wheel drive.
• GLA 250 4MATIC: Choose this if you want the same basic setup as the GLA 250 but with all-wheel drive and the added traction that comes with it. It also gets hill-descent control, and the AWD system can shift torque distribution depending on drive mode.
• AMG GLA 35: This is the performance-focused choice, with 302 horsepower, quicker acceleration, AMG-specific drive modes, sport suspension, high-performance brakes, and an AMG-specific exhaust system. It suits you best if you care more about speed and sharper hardware than everyday value.

For safety, the Driver Assistance Package is the key upgrade if you want nearly all of the most desirable active safety technology.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 629 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.42% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 77.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,575, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA's resale value?

The current average of $22,746 sits slightly below last year's $25,392.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can reduce the impact of further depreciation.

The GLA’s strong technology and broad appeal as a compact luxury SUV should help it stay relevant with shoppers who want a premium badge and modern features. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.33/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA safe?

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Mercedes gives every GLA a reasonable amount of active safety features, including a rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, forward-collision warning, vehicle-exit warning, automatic emergency braking, driver-drowsiness monitoring, crosswind assist, and traditional cruise control.

If you want the fuller safety suite, the Driver Assistance Package adds adaptive cruise control, active lane-keeping assist, active blind-spot assist, active brake assist with cross-traffic intervention, evasive steering assist, route-based speed adjustment, traffic-jam assist, and more. The Parking Assistance Package adds a surround-view camera and parking assist.

Without the Driver Assistance Package, the standard safety list is thinner than what you’ll find on some less expensive rivals, so that package is worth prioritizing if safety tech matters to you.

Should I buy a 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.33/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The redesign gives you a compact, easy-to-maneuver SUV with impressive technology and multiple powertrain options.

The bottom line: The 2021 GLA is the right pick if you want the redesigned model year with strong tech, a compact footprint, and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If your priority is maximum value, you should still compare it against similarly sized alternatives before committing, especially because the GLA’s ride, handling, and cargo space are not its strongest points.
