Used 2021 Jeep Gladiator for Sale nearMontgomery, AL

How much does the 2021 Jeep Gladiator cost?

Prices have softened 6.89% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,075 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Jeep Gladiator earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its ruggedness, off-road capability, and unique design that turns heads. The diesel edition also gets credit for strong performance, and many owners like the comfortable interior.

The trade-offs are familiar: disappointing gas mileage and a price that can feel high, especially for the small bed size. In practical terms, this is the right fit if you want a midsize truck with Jeep personality, open-air appeal, and a more adventurous character than a conventional pickup.

Only 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market has some room for negotiation but not a flood of bargains.

Is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as rugged, dependable, and capable of handling long-term use with confidence. The expert notes also emphasize its durable, purpose-built character, along with the added benefit of free scheduled maintenance during the first three years or 36,000 miles of ownership.

That said, this is still a specialized truck with a lot of personality and a price premium, so long-term ownership risk is more about living with its compromises than worrying about basic durability.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Jeep Gladiator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on every candidate and prioritize a close inspection of the truck’s condition, especially if it has been used hard off-road. Pay attention to signs of wear on the cabin, bed, suspension, and exterior trim, since this model’s appeal often overlaps with more demanding use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport starts with a 5-inch display, crank windows, all-season tires, and the most basic top, while higher trims add more comfort and equipment. The Overland brings a more upscale feel, and the High Altitude adds body-color detailing, black 20-inch wheels, and premium Nappa leather.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.6-liter gasoline V6 is joined by a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6 for 2021. The diesel adds strong low-end torque and better fuel economy than the gas engine, but it is not available on the Mojave.
• Safety package: The Gladiator includes a reversing camera in standard form, while available driver-assistance features include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams. Some of these features depend on trim and equipment.
• Infotainment: The standard system uses a 5-inch display, Bluetooth, voice text reply for Android devices, and SiriusXM satellite radio. Sport S and above get a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the 8.4-inch Uconnect 4C setup adds navigation, SiriusXM Guardian, remote engine start, a WiFi hotspot, and an Alpine premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbo-diesel returns noticeably better fuel economy than the gas engine, and testing averaged 22.6 mpg on a mountainous loop. The standard V6 returned 20.3 mpg in earlier highway-heavy testing.

Which 2021 Jeep Gladiator trim should I buy?

The 2021 Jeep Gladiator is offered in 5 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Overland, Rubicon, and High Altitude.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Gladiator experience at the lowest starting price. It makes sense if you want the Jeep character first and can live with the most basic equipment.
• Sport S: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the 7-inch Uconnect 4 touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. If you want the most important everyday tech upgrade without jumping too far up the price ladder, this is the one to target.
• Overland: This trim is the better choice if you want a more polished cabin and the option to add more upscale equipment. It also gets the forward-facing Trail Cam for 2021, which is useful if you expect to spend time on trails.
• Rubicon: Choose this if off-road capability is your priority. The expert notes highlight its strong trail performance, and it is the trim most clearly aimed at serious adventure use.
• High Altitude: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with body-color detailing, black 20-inch wheels, and premium Nappa leather. It suits you best if you want the most upscale Gladiator presentation.

For safety, the Gladiator starts with a reversing camera, and the more advanced driver-assistance features are available only with additional equipment or higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Jeep Gladiator?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,075 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.89% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 83.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,662, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator's resale value?

The current average of $30,851 sits slightly below last year's $33,132.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can make the truck easier to buy now but may also limit short-term upside for a future seller. If you buy at the right price, you may have a better chance of preserving value than someone who paid closer to the prior-year average.

The Gladiator’s resale story is still supported by strong owner satisfaction and a distinctive identity that keeps demand steady. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator safe?

The 2021 Jeep Gladiator earns a four-star frontal-impact rating from NHTSA and three-star rollover resistance ratings.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment is limited to a reversing camera, but you can add adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams depending on trim and equipment. The blind-spot system is especially useful because the side mirrors are narrow.

The main caveat is that the truck’s safety tech is not generous in standard form, so you should look closely at the exact equipment on any used example you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2021 Jeep Gladiator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.89% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 adds a turbo-diesel engine option, free scheduled maintenance, and fresh special-edition models.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $28,000, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $30,851 average.
• It delivers strong off-road ability and real work-truck credibility.

The bottom line: If you want the better-equipped and more current version, the 2021 is the stronger pick, especially if you value the diesel option and added features. If your priority is spending less up front and you can live with an older model year, the 2020 is the price-sensitive alternative worth considering.
