Used 2020 Jeep Gladiator for Sale nearMontgomery, AL

How much does the 2020 Jeep Gladiator cost?

Prices have softened 10.21% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,490 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Jeep Gladiator a good car?

Yes — with a 4.83/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator is a strong fit if you want a truck with personality.

The standout strength is Look and feel at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its fun driving experience, stylish design, versatility as both a truck and a Jeep, and off-road capability. The spacious cargo area also comes up as a recurring plus. On the other hand, the expert review notes that value is not its strong suit and that advanced safety features are not standard.

That makes the Gladiator especially appealing if you want something distinctive and adventure-ready rather than a conventional midsize pickup. It is less compelling if your priority is maximum feature content for the money.

Only 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful shopping.

Is the 2020 Jeep Gladiator reliable?

Owners rate it 4.83/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a truck that feels fun, versatile, and capable, with repeated praise for its off-road ability and overall usefulness. The expert review also emphasizes that it is built for hard use and can be hosed out after muddy or snowy adventures, which reinforces its durable, trail-ready character.

The Gladiator’s truck-and-Jeep formula suggests it can handle demanding ownership, but its noisy highway manners and premium pricing mean you should pay close attention to condition and maintenance history on a used example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Jeep Gladiator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every candidate, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on signs of hard use, especially if the truck has been off-road or used for towing. Pay close attention to interior wear, suspension condition, and any evidence that the truck has lived a rough life.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Four versions are available: Sport, Sport S, Overland, and Rubicon. The base Sport is the most stripped-down, while the Overland adds more comfort and tech, and the Rubicon is the most trail-focused. If you want the best value, the Sport S is the trim to compare closely because it sits between the entry model and the better-equipped versions.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a 3.6-liter V6 with 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, and all have 4-wheel drive. An 8-speed automatic is available, while the standard gearbox is a 6-speed manual.
• Safety package: The Active Safety Group adds blind-spot monitoring, rear parking-assist sensors, and LED taillights. The Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control and forward-collision warning. These packages are optional, so don’t assume a used Gladiator has them.
• Infotainment: Bluetooth is standard. The mid-level Uconnect 4 system brings a 7-inch display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and satellite radio. The top system adds an 8.4-inch touchscreen, navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, SiriusXM Guardian connected services, and an SOS emergency call button.
• Fuel efficiency: The Gladiator is rated at 19 mpg in combined driving, and the expert review notes that gas mileage isn’t great.

Which 2020 Jeep Gladiator trim should I buy?

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Overland, and Rubicon.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Gladiator experience at the lowest starting price and plan to add only the options you really want.
• Sport S: This is the trim to watch if you want the best balance of price and equipment, since it sits in the middle of the lineup without jumping all the way to the pricier trims.
• Overland: This is the better choice if you want a more upscale daily driver, especially since the expert test truck showed how much equipment can be layered onto it.
• Rubicon: This is the one to choose if off-road capability is your priority, since the expert review highlights its Rock-Trac 4WD system, locking differentials, sway-bar disconnect, rock rails, and other trail hardware.

The Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control and forward-collision warning, so look for it if safety tech matters to you.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Jeep Gladiator?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right truck.

• Deal availability: 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,490 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.21% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,743, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Jeep Gladiator's resale value?

The current average of $27,743 sits slightly below last year's $30,897.

That decline suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, which can make it harder for sellers to command peak pricing right now. If you own one, strong condition and desirable equipment matter more than ever because shoppers have more leverage than they did a year ago.

Even so, the Gladiator’s distinctive appeal and broad enthusiast interest can help support demand for clean, well-kept examples. Trucks with the right trim and options should still hold attention better than more ordinary midsize pickups.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.83/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Jeep Gladiator safe?

It earns a conservative score for overall safety because of limited crash data and the lack of automatic emergency braking.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

The Gladiator offers the Active Safety Group and the Advanced Safety Group as optional extras. The Active Safety Group includes blind-spot monitoring, rear parking-assist sensors, and LED taillights. The Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control and forward-collision warning. Those features are helpful, but they are not standard across the lineup.

The expert review also flags a key caveat: the truck lacks automatic emergency braking, and the available safety data is limited. That means you should pay close attention to whether a used example has the optional driver-assistance packages you want.

Should I buy a 2020 Jeep Gladiator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 stands out for its distinctive Wrangler-based personality and strong off-road identity.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $30,405, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $27,743 average.
• It adds a turbo-diesel engine option and free scheduled maintenance.

The bottom line: If you want the lower entry price and are focused on the core Gladiator experience, the 2020 is the better value play. If you want the newer-year upgrades and are willing to pay more, the 2021 is the better choice. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2020 is the smarter starting point as long as you verify condition and equipment carefully.
