Used 2021 Hyundai Palisade for Sale nearLexington, KY

How much does the 2021 Hyundai Palisade cost?

Prices have softened 12.78% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,204 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Hyundai Palisade a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Hyundai Palisade earns a 4.64/5 user rating and a 9/10 expert rating. The model scores 10/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its spacious interior, abundant features, and comfortable ride, and many also like its elegant design and high-tech feel. The Palisade’s roomy third row and premium cabin presentation make it especially appealing if you want family space without giving up a more upscale atmosphere.

The main trade-off is that performance is fairly pedestrian, so it is not the choice if you want quick acceleration. Even so, the Palisade fits well if you want a polished three-row SUV for daily family duty, and 40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2021 Hyundai Palisade reliable?

Owners rate it 4.64/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable-feeling SUV with a comfortable cabin, strong feature content, and the kind of ownership experience people can count on for family use. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that it is financially smart to purchase and backed by strong warranty coverage, free scheduled maintenance for three years or 36,000 miles, and roadside assistance for five years with unlimited mileage.

That combination lowers the stress of long-term ownership, though you should still pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition on any used example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Hyundai Palisade?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the vehicle has higher mileage or incomplete service records. Focus on cabin condition, electronics, and signs of heavy family use, since this SUV’s appeal depends heavily on its comfort and feature content.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Calligraphy trim adds a different grille pattern, revised exterior lighting, unique 20-inch wheels, upgraded interior detailing, and a simulated suede headliner. The Limited remains appealing, but it does not get the Calligraphy’s extra visual polish.
• Powertrain: Every Palisade uses a 3.8-liter V6 with 291 horsepower and an eight-speed automatic transmission, with front-wheel drive standard and all-wheel drive available. AWD adds Snow mode and a Lock function, and the setup is tuned more for smooth, confident everyday driving than excitement.
• Safety package: Every Palisade includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, multiple lane-keeping systems, rear occupant alert, active blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, and Safe Exit Assist. Limited and Calligraphy trims add a Blind View Monitor and a more sophisticated ultrasonic rear occupant alert system.
• Infotainment: Two touchscreen setups are offered: 8-inch and 10.25-inch. Only the 8-inch system gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the larger screen still requires a wired connection; both systems gain dual Bluetooth pairing.
• Fuel efficiency: The AWD model is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving, and the test vehicle averaged 21.1 mpg on the driving loop.

Which 2021 Hyundai Palisade trim should I buy?

The 2021 Hyundai Palisade is offered in 4 trim levels: SE, SEL, Limited, Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Palisade’s core space, safety, and V6 power at the lowest price. It gives you the basics of the lineup without the extra luxury touches found higher up.
• SEL: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it sits in the middle of the lineup and should balance equipment and price well. If you want a more complete family SUV without stretching to the top trim, this is the one to focus on first.
• Limited: Choose this if you want more upscale features and the added safety convenience of the Blind View Monitor and ultrasonic rear occupant alert system. It is the better pick if you value comfort and tech upgrades over keeping the budget tight.
• Calligraphy: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with the most distinctive styling and the richest cabin presentation. Buy it if you want the Palisade to feel as premium as possible and are willing to pay for the extra polish.

Limited and Calligraphy trims also add the Blind View Monitor and the ultrasonic rear occupant alert system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Hyundai Palisade?

It looks like a buyer’s market, with solid deal availability and a meaningful price drop from last year.

• Deal availability: 40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,204 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.78% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 77.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,229, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Hyundai Palisade's resale value?

The current average of $23,229 sits slightly below last year's $26,634.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, that means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Because the Palisade has strong demand, broad family appeal, and a premium-feeling cabin, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than less desirable three-row SUVs. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.64/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Hyundai Palisade safe?

The 2021 Hyundai Palisade earns top safety ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Palisade includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, multiple lane-keeping systems, rear occupant alert, active blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, and Safe Exit Assist. Limited and Calligraphy trims add a Blind View Monitor and a more advanced ultrasonic rear occupant alert system that can detect movement and send a text message after you leave and lock the SUV.

Highway Drive Assist is a standout feature because it works smoothly and can handle distance, speed, and lane maintenance very well, but it is not designed for hands-free driving. Keep your hands on the wheel and use it as a strong driver-assistance aid rather than an autonomous system.

Should I buy a 2021 Hyundai Palisade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.64/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 adds more standard equipment, expanded infotainment capabilities, and a new Calligraphy trim.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $20,774, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $23,229 average.
• It is a stylish, spacious, and value-focused family SUV.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $25,915, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $23,229 average.
• It keeps the roomy three-row layout and adds a polished, well-equipped family-SUV feel.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of value, equipment, and market availability, the 2021 is the strongest all-around pick. If your budget is tighter, the 2020 can save you money, while the 2022 makes sense if you are willing to pay more for a newer model-year alternative.
