There are 1,933 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare trims, equipment, and condition.

Is the 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty a good car?

Generally — the 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty earns a 4.44/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Form and function.

Owners consistently praise its robust performance, spacious interior, and the amount of features you get for the price. The user feedback also points to strong fuel efficiency on long trips, which helps offset some of the truck’s heavy-duty mission.

The trade-offs are clear: the expert review calls out poor ride quality, poor handling, and noise. That matters less if you need a truck for serious towing and hauling, and more if you want something comfortable for everyday commuting.

For buyers who need maximum strength from a pickup, the F-350’s capability-first setup fits the job well. The market also shows 30.6% good or great deals, so there are still some attractive listings to chase.

Is the 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty reliable?

Owners rate it 4.44/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels robust and dependable in daily use, with many drivers describing it as a vehicle they can count on for serious work. That lines up with the expert review’s emphasis on the truck’s ability to deliver on its towing and hauling promises, especially when properly configured.

The expert review also notes that the diesel and 10-speed automatic combination easily delivers on its promise, which supports the sense that the truck is built for sustained heavy-duty use. If you’re shopping used, that kind of durability-minded reputation is encouraging, but you should still pay close attention to maintenance history and how hard the truck was worked.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every candidate, because heavy-duty trucks can see hard use even when they look clean on the surface. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks for towing wear, suspension issues, brake condition, and signs of body or bed damage. Focus on how the truck was equipped and whether its condition matches the kind of work it was asked to do.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup ranges from XL through Limited, and the cabin gets more upscale as you move up. The lower trims are more purposeful, while King Ranch and above bring higher-end décor and a more luxury-oriented feel.
• Powertrain: The truck offers multiple powertrain options, including an available turbo-diesel V8 that delivers the strongest capability. The diesel is the standout choice if you need maximum towing and hauling strength.
• Safety package: Available driver-assistance systems include adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with trailer coverage, and rear cross-traffic alert. Some features are not standard on every trim.
• Infotainment: The truck uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Sync 3. Available tech includes smartphone integration, wireless smartphone charging, navigation, FordPass Connect with a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot, and a B&O premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The diesel test truck averaged 15.4 mpg in mixed driving and 16.5 mpg over a week of heavy highway use.

Which 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty trim should I buy?

The 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty is offered in 6 trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• XL: This is the work-focused starting point, best if you want the F-350’s core capability without paying for luxury extras.
• XLT: This trim adds more everyday usability while staying relatively accessible, making it a sensible value choice for many buyers.
• Lariat: This is the best-value trim for shoppers who want a stronger mix of comfort, features, and capability without jumping into luxury pricing.
• King Ranch: This trim moves the cabin into higher-end territory with more upscale décor and a more premium feel.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want a more luxury-oriented truck with a richer interior presentation.
• Limited: This is the top-end choice, with the most upscale treatment and the most premium-feeling cabin.

Safety-package note: adaptive cruise control is standard on Limited and optional on other trims except XL and XLT.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right truck.

• Deal availability: 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,933 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.94% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $48,721, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty's resale value?

The current average of $49,661 sits slightly below last year's $51,695.

That softer pricing suggests the truck has already moved off some of its earlier peak, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means resale value may depend heavily on condition, configuration, and how well the truck was maintained.

Because this is a capability-first truck, the strongest resale prospects will usually come from well-kept examples with desirable equipment and clear history. Trucks that show heavy wear, poor maintenance, or signs of hard commercial use are more likely to lose value faster.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.44/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty safe?

The 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty does not have official crash-test data available, so there is no crash-rating lead to cite here.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The truck’s available driver-assistance systems include adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with trailer coverage, and rear cross-traffic alert. The expert review also notes that adaptive cruise control does not bring the truck to a full stop, and the blind-spot warning indicator can be hard to see.

That means you should treat the safety tech as helpful support, not a substitute for careful driving and good visibility. In a truck this large, the best safety strategy is to use the available aids, stay alert, and remember that size and weight are part of the protection equation.

Should I buy a 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.44/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 brings a refresh with powertrain, technology, design, and capability changes.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $45,954, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $49,661 average.
• It offers broad trim variety and a new 7.3-liter V8 for 2020.

The bottom line: If you want the newer refresh and can stretch for it, the 2021 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money and you still want broad configuration choices, the 2020 is the smarter value play.
