How much does the 2021 Ford Bronco cost?

Prices have softened 9.82% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,186 listings available, which suggests you have a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Ford Bronco a good car?

Generally — the 2021 Ford Bronco earns a 4.47/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating, which points to strong overall appeal. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Form and function.

Drivers repeatedly praise its design, smooth ride, and versatility, and many also highlight its powerful performance and advanced tech features. The Bronco’s off-road focus and distinctive styling come through clearly in the feedback, especially for shoppers who want something fun and capable rather than purely comfort-oriented.

The trade-offs are just as clear: the ride can get noisy, especially with the soft top, and the cabin is not tuned for quiet luxury. That lines up with the overview’s emphasis on rugged trail use and its softer focus on comfort.

With 37.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Ford Bronco reliable?

Owners rate it 4.47/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction. User feedback also points to a vehicle that feels dependable, with many owners describing it as a fun, high-performing SUV they can count on over time.

The expert evaluation reinforces that impression by describing the Bronco as a cool, competent, complex SUV with smart electronics and strong off-road capability. Ford also notes that the Bronco’s setup is designed to work in demanding terrain without leaving you stranded.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic durability and more about how hard the vehicle was used and maintained, especially if it saw frequent trail duty.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Ford Bronco?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because off-road use can leave behind wear that does not always show up in photos. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the roof, doors, suspension, tires, and cabin trim, and pay close attention to signs of water intrusion, wind noise, or uneven panel fit. If the truck has been modified, make sure the changes were done cleanly and did not compromise drivability or safety.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Base trim starts with a basic safety setup, while the Big Bend and Black Diamond can add the Mid Package, which brings more driver-assistance equipment. Higher trims can add more convenience and safety content, so base-trim shoppers should be especially careful about feature gaps.
• Powertrain: You get a standard turbocharged 2.3-liter inline-four with 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, or an available twin-turbo 2.7-liter inline-four with 310 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. The 2.3-liter pairs with a seven-speed manual, while the 2.7-liter uses a 10-speed automatic.
• Safety package: Ford Co-Pilot 360 is part of the Mid Package and includes pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot information system with cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping system, auto high-beam headlamps, and a rear-view camera with backup assist grid lines. The High Package adds a 360-degree camera, a forward-sensing system, and side-view mirror LED approach lamps.
• Infotainment: The Bronco uses SYNC 4 with enhanced voice recognition, an 8-inch standard touchscreen, and an available 12-inch touchscreen. Wireless device charging is part of the Lux Package, and the system can be upgraded with voice-activated touchscreen navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The overview points to poor fuel economy, and the expert evaluation echoes that drawback.

Which 2021 Ford Bronco trim should I buy?

The 2021 Ford Bronco is offered in 7 trim levels: Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and First Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the entry point if you want the Bronco’s core off-road hardware at the lowest price, but you should expect the most limited safety and convenience content.
• Big Bend: This is a smart step up if you want a more usable everyday Bronco and access to the Mid Package, which adds important driver-assistance features.
• Black Diamond: This trim makes sense if you want a more trail-ready setup and also want the option to add the Mid Package.
• Outer Banks: This is the better choice if you want a more upscale feel and the option to add the High Package for more advanced safety and camera tech.
• Badlands: This is the trim to target if you want stronger off-road focus and the option to add the High Package.
• Wildtrak: This is aimed at buyers who want a more aggressive, capability-first Bronco and the option to add the High Package.
• First Edition: This is the top-spec launch model, but it is the least value-focused choice because it sits at the top of the price range.

The best-value trim is the Big Bend if you want a balanced mix of price and useful equipment. For safety-package shoppers, the Mid Package is available on the Big Bend and Black Diamond, while the High Package is available on the Outer Banks, Wildtrak, and Badlands.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Ford Bronco?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,186 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.82% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,254, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Ford Bronco's resale value?

The current average of $36,254 sits slightly below last year's $40,202.

That price movement suggests the Bronco has cooled from its earlier level, which can help you buy in at a more favorable point. For a future seller, the current softness means you should pay close attention to condition, mileage, and equipment if you want to protect your exit price. Well-kept examples with desirable packages should hold up better than rougher trucks with visible wear.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.47/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Ford Bronco safe?

The 2021 Ford Bronco has not yet received crash-test ratings from NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford Co-Pilot 360 is the named driver-assistance suite in the Mid Package, and it includes pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot information system with cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping system, auto high-beam headlamps, and a rear-view camera with backup assist grid lines. The High Package adds a 360-degree camera, a forward-sensing system, and side-view mirror LED approach lamps.

The main safety caveat is that the Bronco’s removable-door design limits its safety profile compared with more conventional SUVs, and base trims start with a more basic safety setup.

Should I buy a 2021 Ford Bronco or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.82% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.47/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It launches the Bronco’s modern off-road formula with standard 4WD and two available powertrains.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $37,390, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $36,254 average.
• It broadens the lineup and improves everyday drivability.

The bottom line: If you want the lower average price and strong current inventory, the 2021 is the better buy. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model year and broader lineup appeal, the 2022 is the alternative to watch.
