How much does the 2021 Chrysler 300 cost?

Is the 2021 Chrysler 300 a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Chrysler 300 earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10. Owners consistently praise its luxurious look, smooth ride, impressive handling, acceleration, and comfort. In use, that lines up with the 300’s traditional big-sedan feel, roomy presence, and easy-to-use cabin, which make it appealing if you want a rear-wheel-drive luxury sedan without a premium-brand price. The main trade-off is poor value for money, and some owners also point to fuel-efficiency concerns and the loss of certain features in newer models. Good and great deals account for 28.7% of listings, so you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Chrysler 300 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. Owners also describe it as dependable in the way it delivers a smooth ride, comfort, and a generally trouble-free ownership experience, with praise centered on the car’s durable feel and the confidence it inspires over time. The expert assessment reinforces that sense of staying power by describing the 300 as quiet, capable, and comfortable on the road, with traditional rear-wheel-drive luxury character that still works well day to day. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright fragility and more about whether the specific car has been maintained well and equipped with the features you want.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Chrysler 300?

At 63.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional safety and comfort equipment. Focus on condition, feature operation, and evidence of consistent maintenance, since the 300’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been kept. Pay extra attention to trim-specific equipment so you know whether the car you’re looking at has the features you expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base 300 Touring uses cloth upholstery and 17-inch silver alloys, while the 300 Touring L and 300S add more upscale touches such as Nappa leather upholstery, with the 300S also getting perforated inserts and accent stitching. The lower trims also use bi-xenon halogen projector lamps with LED driving lamps, while the Comfort Group on the Touring L and 300S brings adaptive HID lamps.
• Powertrain: The 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 makes 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque in the Touring and Touring L, while the 300S gets 300 horsepower and 264 pound-feet. The 300S also offers a 5.7-liter V8 with 363 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque, and all engines use an eight-speed automatic transmission.
• Safety package: All Chrysler 300s include active head restraints, airbags, traction and stability control with brake assist, rain brake support, ready alert braking, and hill start assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are limited to the Touring L and 300S, and the SafetyTec Plus Group adds forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, lane departure warning, and rain-sensing wipers.
• Infotainment: The 8.4-inch Uconnect 4C touchscreen is standard across the lineup, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard as well. If you want more tech, the Popular Equipment Group adds a 506-watt amp, nine premium Alpine speakers, GPS navigation, SiriusXM Traffic Plus, surround sound, a trunk-mounted subwoofer, and a dual-pane sunroof.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 with rear-wheel drive returns 19 mpg city, 30 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined. AWD lowers that to 18 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined, while the V8-powered 300S returns 16 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 19 mpg combined.

Which 2021 Chrysler 300 trim should I buy?

The 2021 Chrysler 300 is offered in 3 trim levels: 300 Touring, 300 Touring L, 300S.

Here's the short version:

• 300 Touring: This is the value entry point if you want the 300’s core strengths — the quiet ride, rear-wheel-drive layout, and standard 8.4-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto — without paying for extras you may not need. It’s the trim that best fits buyers who want the classic 300 experience at the lowest price.
• 300 Touring L: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel with Nappa leather upholstery and can be paired with the Comfort Group for adaptive HID lamps and other upgrades. If you want the 300 to feel more like a true luxury sedan, this is the trim to target.
• 300S: Choose this if you want the strongest performance and the most upscale presentation in the lineup, including the available 5.7-liter V8, standard 20-inch Black Noise wheels, and more distinctive interior detailing. It suits you best if you care more about power and presence than value.

Safety equipment is trim-dependent, with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert limited to the Touring L and 300S, and the SafetyTec Plus Group adding several advanced driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Chrysler 300?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 488 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.91% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,624, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Chrysler 300's resale value?

The current average of $19,730 sits slightly below last year's $21,424.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in strong condition, you can reduce the impact of that depreciation. The 300’s distinctive positioning as a rear-wheel-drive luxury sedan can still support demand among shoppers who want something different from a mainstream full-size sedan.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Chrysler 300 safe?

The Chrysler 300 received top "Good" scores in all Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash tests except the small overlap tests, where it received a "Marginal" score. It also received a "Poor" rating for headlights. Over at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the 300 received a four-star overall crash test rating, with four-star driver and passenger side crash test ratings, and a four-star rollover rating. On the plus side, it received a five-star rating for NHTSA's combined side barrier and side pole crash test.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

All Chrysler 300s offer active head restraints, an arsenal of airbags, traction and stability control with brake assist, rain brake support, ready alert braking, and hill start assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are only available on the Touring L or 300S trims, and the SafetyTec Plus Group adds forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, lane departure warning, and rain-sensing wipers. The IIHS headlight result is the main caveat to keep in mind.

Should I buy a 2021 Chrysler 300 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• You want the 2021’s mix of rear-wheel-drive luxury-sedan character, standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and available V8 power.

The bottom line: The 2021 is the right pick if you want the Chrysler 300’s classic big-sedan feel and you’re shopping for value in today’s market. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also consider nearby years, but the 2021 stands out for its combination of lower average pricing, solid owner satisfaction, and broad appeal among shoppers who want comfort and presence over the latest redesign.
