Used 2021 Chevrolet Blazer for Sale nearEl Paso, TX

How much does the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer cost?

Prices have softened 10.59% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,197 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer earns a 4.88/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Technology at 8/10.

Drivers consistently praise the sporty look, responsive power, and driving enjoyment, and they also describe the Blazer as a good value for families. The expert take reinforces that appeal by highlighting stylish design, great handling, and easy-to-use technology.

The trade-offs are clear: the interior materials feel cheap, the transmission is irritating, and the Blazer is poor value for money. That makes it a better fit if you want a distinctive crossover with personality rather than the most polished all-around SUV.

The market reflects that split appeal, with 33.9% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer reliable?

Owners rate it 4.88/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a reliable, dependable ownership experience, with drivers describing the Blazer as something they can count on over the long term. The expert evaluation also supports that impression by emphasizing the Blazer’s solid driving character and composed feel.

The ownership risk for used buyers is less about outright durability and more about whether the specific example has been maintained well and lived an easy life.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Chevrolet Blazer?

At 72.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, panel alignment, and signs of prior repair. Because the Blazer’s appeal depends heavily on condition and presentation, you’ll want to focus on cabin wear, electronics, and how well the transmission and brakes feel on a test drive.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base L and 1LT trims miss some of the more desirable equipment, while the RS and Premier bring more upscale styling and features. The RS also adds a sportier look and feel, while the Premier is the most upscale choice.
• Powertrain: The base 2.5-liter engine is underpowered and noisy, while the 2.0-liter turbo is the better everyday choice and the 3.6-liter V6 is the strongest option. AWD is available, and the RS gets the most performance-focused setup.
• Safety package: Driver assists include forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, and automatic high beams on most trims. The more advanced enhanced forward emergency braking is reserved for top trims with the Driver Confidence II package.
• Infotainment: Every Blazer gets an 8-inch touchscreen with Chevrolet Infotainment 3, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Plus version adds navigation with traffic, 4G WiFi, onboard apps, better voice recognition, and two-phone pairing.
• Fuel efficiency: The AWD V6 returns 19 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined, while the AWD turbo four-cylinder is rated at 22 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 24 mpg combined.

Which 2021 Chevrolet Blazer trim should I buy?

The 2021 Chevrolet Blazer is offered in 5 trim levels: L, 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, RS.

Here's the short version:

• L: This is the cheapest way into the Blazer, but it comes with the weakest engine and is the least compelling choice overall.
• 1LT: This trim still sits near the bottom of the range and is best viewed as a basic step up rather than the sweet spot.
• 2LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it gets the better 2.0-liter turbo engine and a more balanced feature set.
• 3LT: Choose this if you want more equipment than the 2LT without jumping all the way to the sportier RS.
• RS: This is the enthusiast pick, with the 3.6-liter V6, sport-tuned suspension, brakes, and steering, plus the most distinctive performance-oriented character.

The safety package note is simple: the more advanced enhanced forward emergency braking is only available on top trims with the Driver Confidence II package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Chevrolet Blazer?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,197 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.59% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,844, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer's resale value?

The current average of $20,844 sits slightly below last year's $23,312.

That decline suggests the Blazer has become more affordable for buyers, which can make it harder for sellers to command top dollar right now. If you own one, pricing pressure is real, especially if your vehicle lacks desirable equipment or has visible wear.

On the other hand, the Blazer’s distinctive styling and strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when your vehicle is clean, well-equipped, and properly maintained. A well-kept example should still stand out to shoppers who want something more expressive than a typical crossover.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer safe?

The 2021 Blazer earns five-star ratings from NHTSA overall and in all three crash tests, with four-star ratings for the front passenger in the frontal crash and for rollover. The IIHS gave it top Good ratings in all crash tests, but Marginal and Poor ratings for headlights.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard driver-assistance setup includes forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, and automatic high beams on most trims. The enhanced forward emergency braking system adds radar to the camera-based setup, but it is only available on top trims with the Driver Confidence II package.

A key caveat is the headlight performance, which keeps the Blazer from being a clean safety standout despite its strong crash-test results.

Should I buy a 2021 Chevrolet Blazer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Expert or safety highlight specific to this year: it combines strong crash-test results with easy-to-use tech and standout handling.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $23,640, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $20,844 average.
• It adds a more practical, five-passenger package with up to 64.2 cubic feet of cargo.

The bottom line: If you want the better bargain, the 2021 is the smarter buy because prices have eased and the market still offers a decent number of good deals. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model-year alternative, the 2022 is worth considering for its added practicality, but price-sensitive shoppers should focus on the 2021 and target a clean, well-equipped example.
