Used 2021 Acura RDX for Sale nearPortland, OR

How much does the 2021 Acura RDX cost?

Prices have softened 4.19% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,367 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Acura RDX a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Acura RDX earns a 4.7/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Cost effectiveness.

Owners repeatedly praise its fantastic value, comfort, fun driving experience, spacious interior, and stylish design. On the road, it stands out for great handling and a rewarding driving feel, while the compact luxury SUV format keeps it practical for everyday use.

The main trade-offs are its unintuitive technology and limited cargo space. That matters most if you want a luxury crossover that is easy to use every day and still feels engaging behind the wheel.

Good and great deals account for 37.5% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Acura RDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with repeated praise for comfort, value, and a fun driving experience that holds up over time. The expert review also describes the RDX as a strong value proposition with quality materials and high safety ratings, which supports confidence in day-to-day use.

The powertrain and chassis are presented as smooth and rewarding rather than fragile or finicky, and the overall package suggests solid long-term ownership prospects for used buyers. Your biggest risk is more likely to be living with the technology and feature mix than dealing with major durability concerns.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Acura RDX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the infotainment system, interior condition, and any signs of hard use. If you want the best day-to-day experience, pay close attention to how the controls feel in real use and whether the vehicle’s equipment matches your needs.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim starts with AcuraWatch, but it does not include blind-spot warning or rear cross-traffic alert. The Technology Package adds those features, while the A-Spec Package brings sport seats with simulated suede inserts, a sport steering wheel, a black headliner, dark brushed aluminum trim, sport pedals, red stitching, red ambient lighting, and unique gauges. The Advance Package adds all of the extras.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard, and SH-AWD is available for stronger handling and more confident power delivery.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert require at least the Technology Package, and the system does not include pedestrian detection, traffic-sign recognition, or Traffic Jam Assist.
• Infotainment: The True Touchpad Interface uses a touch-sensing pad instead of a touchscreen. The system is designed to mirror the screen, and the A-Spec includes a 16-speaker Acura/ELS Studio 3D premium audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-economy figure is stated in the available data.

Which 2021 Acura RDX trim should I buy?

The 2021 Acura RDX is offered in 4 trim levels: Base, Technology Package, A-Spec Package, Advance Package.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core RDX experience with AcuraWatch and the standard turbocharged engine. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live without blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Technology Package: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it adds the missing blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert while keeping the RDX’s core strengths intact. If you want the most useful everyday upgrade, this is the trim to target.
• A-Spec Package: Choose this if you care most about style and a sportier cabin. It adds the most distinctive appearance and interior treatment, but it does not add extra performance.
• Advance Package: This is the most fully equipped version, adding all of the extras. It suits you best if you want the most comfort and convenience features available.

For safety, the Technology Package is the minimum trim that adds blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Acura RDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,367 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.19% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 77.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,938, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $27,045 sits slightly below last year's $28,229.

That price movement suggests the RDX has softened a bit in the used market, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, that also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment level.

A well-kept example with desirable features should hold up better than a neglected one, especially because shoppers still respond to the RDX’s value, comfort, and driving appeal. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Acura RDX safe?

The 2021 Acura RDX earns a 2020 calendar-year Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA overall, with four-star frontal-impact and four-star rollover resistance crash-test ratings from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on the base trim, so you need to move up to the Technology Package at a minimum.

The main caveat is that the standard safety suite is not as comprehensive as some rivals or as Acura’s own newer systems in other models. Even so, the RDX’s safety tech is described as smooth, accurate, and refined, which makes it more likely you’ll actually use it.

Should I buy a 2021 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines strong handling, value, and a modernized design direction with a rethought infotainment system.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $24,100, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $27,045 average.
• It offers strong value with plenty of space, creature comforts, and safety tech.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $30,858, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $27,045 average.
• It adds fresh styling, a quieter cabin, and refined ride and handling.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, driving enjoyment, and modern features, the 2021 is the sweet spot. If your priority is spending less, the 2020 is the better budget play; if you want newer updates and can pay more, the 2022 is the upgrade path.
