Used 2021 Acura RDX for Sale nearPhoenix, AZ

How much does the 2021 Acura RDX cost?

Prices have softened 4.46% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,349 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2021 Acura RDX a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Acura RDX earns a 4.69/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Cost effectiveness.

Owners consistently praise its fantastic value, comfort, and fun driving experience, and they also call out the spacious interior and stylish design. On the downside, some drivers mention fuel economy concerns and weaker audio system performance, while the expert review also points to an unintuitive technology interface and limited cargo space.

For you, that means the RDX makes the most sense if you want a compact luxury SUV that feels upscale and enjoyable without chasing the highest price tier. It also fits shoppers who care about everyday usability and value more than cutting-edge tech simplicity. Good and great deals account for 36.8% of listings, so there’s still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Acura RDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.69/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback repeatedly points to a vehicle that feels dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, with praise for its comfort, value, and overall ownership experience. The expert review also describes the RDX as a strong all-around package that delivers a refined driving experience and solid quality, which supports confidence in how it should hold up over time.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term risk is less about the core vehicle and more about finding one that hasn’t been neglected or poorly maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Acura RDX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free status is only one part of the picture. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the technology and driver-assistance features work as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base setup starts with AcuraWatch, but it does not include blind-spot warning or rear cross-traffic alert; those require at least the Technology Package. The A-Spec adds sportier styling and interior details such as sport seats with simulated suede inserts, a sport steering wheel, a black headliner, dark brushed aluminum trim, sport pedals, red ambient lighting, and unique gauges.
• Powertrain: Every model uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and SH-AWD is available for stronger handling and better traction.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on the base trim, and the package also lacks pedestrian detection, traffic-sign recognition, and Traffic Jam Assist.
• Infotainment: The True Touchpad Interface does not use a touchscreen. It relies on a touchpad controller, and the system is described as unintuitive enough that you should test it carefully before buying.
• Fuel efficiency: Some owners mention fuel economy concerns, so it’s worth checking whether the way the vehicle was driven matches your expectations for ownership costs.

Which 2021 Acura RDX trim should I buy?

The 2021 Acura RDX is offered in 4 trim levels: Base, Technology Package, A-Spec Package, Advance Package.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the entry point, but you give up blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert unless you move up to the Technology Package. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live with the simpler equipment list.
• Technology Package: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it adds the safety equipment missing from the base trim, making the RDX easier to recommend for everyday use.
• A-Spec Package: Choose this if you want the sportiest look and feel, with the most distinctive styling and cabin treatment. It adds visual flair and a more aggressive personality without changing the engine output.
• Advance Package: This is the most fully equipped version, adding the extras and the adaptive-damping suspension. It suits you best if you want the most comfort and the richest feature set.

For safety, note that blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert require at least the Technology Package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Acura RDX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,349 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.46% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,956, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $27,305 sits slightly below last year's $28,581.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that value retention will depend on keeping the vehicle in strong condition and presenting it well against a competitive used market. Because demand remains supported by the model’s broad appeal, a clean, well-kept example should still attract interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.69/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Acura RDX safe?

The 2021 Acura RDX earns a 2020 calendar-year Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA overall, with four-star frontal-impact and four-star rollover resistance ratings from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch comes standard and includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. The catch is that blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on the base trim, so you need to move up to the Technology Package for those features. The system is also missing pedestrian detection, traffic-sign recognition, and Traffic Jam Assist.

Should I buy a 2021 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.46% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.69/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines strong value, great handling, and a modernized design with a rethought infotainment system.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $24,445, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $27,305 average.
• It offers strong value with plenty of space and safety tech.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $31,126, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $27,305 average.
• It adds fresh styling, a quieter cabin, and more equipment.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, features, and market availability, the 2021 is the strongest all-around pick. If your priority is spending less, the 2020 is the better value play; if you want the newer refresh and can pay more, the 2022 is the upgrade path to consider.
