Used 2020 Nissan Rogue for Sale near Colorado

How much does the 2020 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 6.48% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,037 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Nissan Rogue earns a 4.67/5 from owners and a 6/10 from our experts. The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, driving experience, cargo space, and gas mileage. That lines up with its practical, easy-to-live-with role as a compact crossover that aims to be useful for everyday driving.

The trade-offs are clear, though: expert testing calls out sluggish performance and unintuitive technology, and value for money is also a weak point. In other words, you’re looking at a Rogue that fits shoppers who prioritize comfort and utility over driving excitement or cutting-edge tech.

It also shows strong market appeal, with 34.1% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2020 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that many people find comfortable and easy to live with over time, with praise for its driving experience, cargo space, and gas mileage. That kind of recurring satisfaction usually matters more than flashier specs when you’re trying to judge day-to-day dependability.

Expert testing adds that the Rogue’s powertrain is simple and that the CVT does a good job of making the most of the available power in normal driving. The cost side is less encouraging, though, since there are no free scheduled maintenance perks to help offset ownership.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that age-related wear and a history of mixed performance and tech feedback can make condition and maintenance records especially important.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Nissan Rogue?

At 69.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with incomplete service records. Pay close attention to body condition, tire wear, and how the transmission and electronics behave in a test drive.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Rogue is offered in S, SV, and SL trim levels. The SL stands out with 19-inch aluminum wheels and a more upscale presentation, while the cabin materials are described as less impressive overall. If you’re shopping lower trims, expect fewer comfort and convenience touches than the SL test vehicle had.
• Powertrain: You get a single 170-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder paired with a CVT, plus a choice of FWD or AWD. The setup is adequate around town, but it can feel slow when merging, passing, or climbing grades.
• Safety package: Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking front and rear, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights. Rear Door Alert and Tire Fill Alert are also included, while surround-view camera and ProPilot Assist are optional.
• Infotainment: Every Rogue includes Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a hands-free text messaging assistant. The system uses a 7-inch touchscreen, and available upgrades include SiriusXM, navigation, Bose audio, and NissanConnect Services with remote start and door lock functions.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA says FWD versions should return 29 mpg in combined driving, but testing returned 24.9 mpg on a mixed loop. Expert testing also says fuel efficiency doesn’t work in the Rogue’s favor.

Which 2020 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2020 Nissan Rogue is offered in 3 trim levels: S, SV, and SL.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the simplest way into the Rogue, and it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost path into the model’s comfort and practicality without paying for extras you may not need.
• SV: This is the trim most shoppers should start with if they want a better balance of equipment and value, since it sits between the basic model and the more upscale SL.
• SL: This is the best fit if you want the most upscale Rogue experience in this lineup, including the more premium look and the 19-inch wheels highlighted in testing.

Safety Shield 360 is standard across the lineup, so you get the core driver-assistance suite even if you stay with a lower trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Rogue?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and deal activity to make comparison shopping worthwhile.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,037 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.48% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 69.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,241, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $15,385 sits slightly below last year's $16,450.

That decline suggests the Rogue has softened in the market, which can work against a future seller if you buy at the wrong price. The good news is that the current range still gives you a relatively defined pricing window, so a well-bought example can help protect your position later.

Because the model has broad shopper appeal and steady demand from buyers who want a practical crossover, resale should remain supported by its everyday usefulness. Still, the softer pricing trend means you’ll want to buy carefully if you care about minimizing depreciation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2020 Nissan Rogue earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with a three-star rating for the driver in frontal-impact testing. It also falls short of a Top Safety Pick designation from IIHS because of headlight performance and front-passenger protection in a frontal-impact collision.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it brings forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking front and rear, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights. Rear Door Alert and Tire Fill Alert are also included, while surround-view camera and ProPilot Assist are optional.

The main caveat is that the crash-test results show the Rogue’s age, so you should not assume its standard safety equipment fully offsets its weaker test performance.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 69.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Expert testing says the Rogue is practical and broadly appealing, but also sluggish and dated.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $18,518, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $15,385 average.
• It brings a full redesign with a more polished, premium-feeling interior.

The bottom line: If you want the lower purchase price and can live with the 2020 Rogue’s older design, it’s the value play. If you’d rather pay more for a newer, more refined SUV, the 2021 is the better long-term choice. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2020 makes sense if you find a clean example with strong service history.
