Used 2020 Nissan Murano for Sale nearDallas, TX

How much does the 2020 Nissan Murano cost?

Prices have softened 11.51% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,324 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2020 Nissan Murano a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 4.8/5 user-rated SUV with an expert score of 7/10. The model scores 8/10 across Form and function and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, smooth ride, and feature content, and many say it feels more upscale than you might expect. The Murano also gets positive feedback for its strong engine and reported fuel economy, which helps it appeal to buyers who want an easygoing daily driver.

The trade-offs are clear: the design feels aging, and the technology is outdated compared with newer rivals. The Murano is best if you value comfort and refinement over the latest cabin tech or a more modern look.

With 35.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Nissan Murano reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centered on comfort, smooth ride quality, and features you can count on. The expert evaluation also reinforces that it’s a solid, easygoing SUV rather than a finicky one, with a quiet CVT and a relaxed driving character that support everyday dependability.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about mechanical drama and more about age-related compromises in technology and practicality.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Nissan Murano?

At 70.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the cabin and cargo area show wear that matches the mileage. Because this model’s appeal is tied so heavily to comfort and refinement, condition matters a lot.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S, SV, SL, and Platinum grades differ meaningfully, with midrange and higher trims adding more standard features. The SV adds heated outside mirrors, adaptive cruise control, and rear sonar, while the SL adds traffic-sign recognition technology. The Platinum brings premium touches such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel and more upscale appointments.
• Powertrain: Every 2020 Murano uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 260 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque, paired with a continuously variable transmission. It’s described as strong on the highway and quiet for a CVT, with front-wheel drive standard and all-wheel drive available.
• Safety package: Safety Shield 360 is standard on SV, SL, and Platinum trims. It includes forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring and warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, high beam assist, and rear automatic braking. The base trim does not get this full suite.
• Infotainment: Every Murano comes with an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, four USB ports, Bluetooth, satellite radio, a six-speaker audio system, and voice recognition. Higher trims can add an 11-speaker Bose system, HD Radio, navigation, and NissanConnect Services on Platinum.
• Fuel efficiency: The Murano is rated at 20 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, with 23 mpg combined.

Which 2020 Nissan Murano trim should I buy?

The 2020 Nissan Murano is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SV, SL, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but it’s the most stripped-down version of the lineup. If you want the Murano’s comfort and strong V6 without paying for extras, it gets you into the model at the lowest price.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds important convenience and safety equipment, including heated outside mirrors, adaptive cruise control, rear sonar, and the Safety Shield 360 suite.
• SL: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and added driver-assistance content, including traffic-sign recognition technology, along with the richer feature set that comes with moving up the range.
• Platinum: This is the most premium version, with the most upscale appointments and the leather-wrapped steering wheel, plus NissanConnect Services capability.

Safety Shield 360 is standard on SV, SL, and Platinum, so if safety tech matters to you, avoid the base trim.

• Deal availability: 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.51% compared with last year.

What is the 2020 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $17,140 sits slightly below last year's $19,370.

That decline suggests the Murano has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer pricing environment than owners saw a year ago. If you buy at today’s average, your resale upside will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim level. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should hold up better than rougher, lower-trim listings.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Nissan Murano safe?

The 2020 Nissan Murano earns Good ratings from IIHS and five-star ratings in all NHTSA tests except rollover, where it earns a four-star rating.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Safety Shield 360 is standard on SV, SL, and Platinum trims, and it includes forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring and warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, high beam assist, and rear automatic braking. The base trim does not get the full suite.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 adds Safety Shield 360 on SV, SL, and Platinum trims.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $18,637, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $17,140 average.
• It adds more standard safety features.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the stronger buy because pricing has softened and inventory is healthy. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model with additional standard safety content, the 2021 is the cleaner upgrade path.
