Used 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE for Sale nearAtlanta, GA

How much does the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE cost?

Prices have softened 12.68% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,895 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 6.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Form and function.

Owners consistently praise its luxurious feel, smooth ride, spacious interior, and modern technology. It also stands out for family and road-trip use, with premium materials and a refined cabin that support its upscale, practical mission.

The trade-offs are clear: the expert review calls out frustrating safety tech, unintuitive technology, and sluggish performance. That means you’re getting a comfort-first luxury SUV, not a sharp or especially intuitive one.

With its roomy layout and premium presentation, it fits you best if you want a refined midsize SUV more than a sporty one. Good and great deals account for 36.9% of listings, so there’s still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The owner summary also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise for its smooth ride, spacious cabin, and modern technology that many drivers feel good about living with over time.

The expert review reinforces that sense of everyday usability by describing the GLE as quiet and comfortable, with a refined driving experience that suits long-term use. It also notes that the model offers multiple powertrain options, which can help you choose a setup that better matches your needs.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the specific vehicle was maintained well and equipped with the features you expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, since a clean listing percentage doesn’t replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury SUV where options and equipment can vary a lot from one example to the next. Focus on condition, feature operation, and whether the vehicle matches the equipment level you want.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base GLE 350 starts with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and 255 horsepower, and the review notes that features like 4Matic all-wheel drive, leather upholstery, heated and ventilated seats, and other comfort upgrades can add up quickly. That makes trim and option content especially important to verify before you buy.
• Powertrain: The GLE 350 uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder with 255 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. The expert review says it feels smooth and powerful once moving, but can feel sluggish from a stop because of turbo lag and the vehicle’s weight.
• Safety package: The Driver Assistance Package Plus adds autonomous safety features, and the review says it provides strong Level 2 autonomy. It does not include the surround-view camera system, which is a separate option.
• Infotainment: The GLE uses the MBUX system with two 12.3-inch screens, a head-up display, augmented-reality navigation, and the MBUX interior assistant. Wireless charging is included with the Premium Package, and the system also supports gesture control.
• Fuel efficiency: The AWD GLE 350 is listed at 19 mpg city, 26 highway, and 22 combined.

Which 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE trim should I buy?

The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE is offered in 1 trim level: GLE 350.

Here's the short version:

The GLE 350 is the trim to focus on if you want the entry point into the redesigned GLE without chasing expensive options. It gives you the core luxury-SUV experience, including the new MBUX tech, a roomy cabin, and the 2.0-liter turbo engine. It’s the best-value choice if you want the redesigned body and interior without pushing the price into the upper reaches of the options list.

The safety package note to keep in mind is that the Driver Assistance Package Plus adds the autonomous safety features, but the surround-view camera system is still separate.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,895 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.68% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 79.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,022, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $27,022 sits slightly below last year's $30,945.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the softer pricing means you’ll want to pay close attention to mileage, condition, and equipment because those factors will matter more when it’s time to list the vehicle again.

The good news is that the GLE still has strong appeal as a luxury SUV with a roomy cabin and modern tech, which helps support demand. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE safe?

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

The safety tech package includes Attention Assist, Seat Kinetics, adaptive cruise, auto braking, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keep assist. The expert review says the system can work well at low speeds, but it becomes frustrating and unpredictable at higher speeds, where it can bounce around the lane and get confused by shadows or road markings.

That means you should think of the GLE’s safety story as feature-rich but not especially polished. If you rely heavily on driver-assistance tech, you’ll want to test it carefully on your own routes before buying.

Should I buy a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.68% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesigned cabin brings a roomier interior and Mercedes’ newest tech.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $37,723, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $27,022 average.
• It adds a broader range of variants, including GLE Coupe models.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2020 is the smarter buy because pricing has softened and the market still offers a healthy number of clean listings. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model-year alternative, the 2021 gives you a broader lineup, but the 2020 already delivers the redesigned cabin and tech that define this generation.
