At 68.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the car’s structural and cosmetic condition. That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. If you keep the car in strong condition and avoid examples with accident history, you should be better positioned when it’s time to sell.

Should I buy a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLA or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.43/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $22,746, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $18,106 average.
• It was completely redesigned for a more traditional small SUV shape.

The bottom line: Choose the 2020 if you want the lower price and are comfortable shopping carefully for condition and history. Consider the 2021 if you want the newer redesign and are willing to pay more for it.
