Should I buy a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLA or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 69.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $22,332, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $17,780 average.
• It was completely redesigned into a more traditional small SUV.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2020 if you want the lower price and are comfortable shopping carefully for condition and history. If you want the newer redesign and can stretch your budget, the 2021 is the better upgrade path; if price matters most, the 2020 is the smarter buy.
