Is the 2020 Mazda MAZDA6 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Mazda MAZDA6 earns a 4.86/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Is the 2020 Mazda MAZDA6 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a car people feel good about keeping over time, with language centered on dependable ownership and a trouble-free experience. When shoppers repeatedly highlight comfort, driving enjoyment, and confidence in the car’s day-to-day use, that usually supports a stronger reliability impression. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the model’s appeal and more about making sure a specific example has been well maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Mazda MAZDA6?

At 62.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus your condition check on bodywork, panel alignment, and signs of inconsistent repairs, since those details matter most when a car has a mixed history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Mazda MAZDA6?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 237 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.56% compared with last year.

What is the 2020 Mazda MAZDA6's resale value?

The current average of $18,112 sits slightly below last year's $18,780.

That softer pricing suggests the model is holding value reasonably well, but not aggressively appreciating. If you buy at the right price, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation later because the market has already adjusted downward. Strong shopper interest can still support resale, especially for well-kept examples with clean histories and appealing equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mazda MAZDA6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $20,339, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $18,112 average.
• It adds a more refined feel with premium materials and a more enjoyable steering experience.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2020 is the smarter starting point because pricing has eased and owner satisfaction is strong. If you can stretch for a newer model and want a more polished driving feel, the 2021 is the better secondary path for buyers who care more about refinement than price.
