About 2020 Lexus NX Hybrid
Overview

The Lexus NX Hybrid is roughly the same size as the Acura RDX, Audi Q3, Jaguar E-Pace, and Lincoln Corsair. However, it is one of the only crossovers in its class to offer a hybrid variant. For 2020, it receives a few changes.
The hybrid powertrain comes in a single model, the NX 300h, which gets you a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine, a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), a large battery, and a set of electric motors. Together, the whole system is good for 194 horsepower and fuel economy as high as 33 mpg city, 30 highway, and 31 combined on premium fuel. The NX 300h comes standard with all-wheel drive (AWD).
The NX Hybrid comes in Base and Luxury trims. Even the Base trim comes well-equipped with 17-inch wheels, leatherette upholstery, LED taillights, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, a 10-way power driver's seat, and an 8-inch infotainment system. Apple CarPlay was included in previous years, and Android Auto joins the roster for 2020.
There are several option packages available for the Base trim. The Comfort Package comes with heated and ventilated front seats and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror. The Premium Package gets you the content from the Comfort Package, enhanced LED daytime-running lights (DRLs), a power sunroof, 18-inch wheels, and memory settings. The Navigation Package comes with a 10.3-inch infotainment system, navigation, a 10-speaker premium audio system, and dynamic voice recognition. Finally, a new Navigation/Mark Levinson Audio Package comes with all of the content of the Navigation Package along with a 14-speaker Mark Levinson audio system.
The Luxury trim comes with most of the standard and optional features from the Base trim, along with a heated steering wheel, black wood trim, and a power liftgate. Options include a hands-free power liftgate, triple-beam adaptive LED headlights, power-folding and reclining rear seats, and the Mark Levinson sound system.
For 2020, the NX Hybrid benefits from the new Lexus Safety System+ 2.0. This technology suite includes a reversing camera, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-tracing assist, lane-departure alert with steering assist, road-sign assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, rain-sensing wipers, automated parking, and a surround-view camera are all optional. The NX family as a whole earned a Top Safety Pick + designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) in 2019.
The Lexus NX Hybrid is a competent compact crossover with plenty of green credibility.

Love Lexus detail and quality. This one was the perfect fit for me for size. Wanted to get an Hybrid, and choosing a Toyota nor Lexus was key because of their experience and best performance with Hybrids.

Love love it. It is an luxurious and small compact SUV. It is great for a solo or couple. Too small for family. NX would be better for 3+

When sitting in the back seat my head felt very close to the roof. When comparing cargo space to say a Honda CRV the NX loses cargo space in height because of how the roof curves down and is low to begin with. Also the 33mpg for a hybrid did not feel beneficial enough for the expense of a hybrid while the Honda CRV hybrid 2023 gets 40mpg. I also didn’t feel the infotainment and controls were very user friendly compared to the Honda which is user friendly. The NX however was quieter with road noise and had a few other features and quality craftsmanship as well as Lexus certified perks I would have liked to have.

Solid hybrid. CD player is a big plus. Good value at 45k or less. More spacious/comfortable than UX.
