Used 2020 Land Rover Range Rover for Sale nearLos Angeles, CA

How much does the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover cost?

Prices have softened 18.06% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,031 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 4.8/5 user-rated SUV with an 8.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, luxury, and strong performance, along with the smooth ride and high-end features that make it feel special to drive. The Range Rover’s broad powertrain lineup and upscale cabin also fit buyers who want a vehicle that feels both premium and highly capable.

The main trade-offs are its unintuitive technology and the high repair costs and poor gas mileage owners mention. That makes it best for you if you value luxury, space, and capability more than simplicity or low running costs. Good and great deals account for 37.1% of listings, so there’s still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels comfortable, luxury-focused, and strong-performing, with many drivers describing it as a pleasure to drive. The expert evaluation also notes that the Range Rover delivers a solid blend of around-town power and highway motivation, and that its more efficient engines are capable choices in the lineup.

The cost-effectiveness assessment also says reliability has been middle-of-the-road, which is the main long-term ownership risk for used buyers. If you’re shopping used, plan on a careful inspection and budget with that in mind.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Land Rover Range Rover?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury SUV with complex systems. Focus on overall condition, signs of wear in the cabin, and whether the technology and convenience features work as intended. Because this model can be expensive to maintain, it’s smart to pay close attention to service records and any evidence of deferred upkeep.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim includes leather seating, heated power-adjustable front seats, tri-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a WiFi hotspot, a hands-free tailgate, and the InControl Touch Pro Duo system with two 10-inch screens. HSE adds 20-way power-adjustable front seats, upgraded perforated leather upholstery, heated rear seats, and power-reclining rear seats, while Autobiography adds semi-aniline leather, quad-zone climate control, heated-and-ventilated front seats, and massaging front seats. SVAutobiography brings nearly every available feature, so the base trim is the biggest step down in equipment.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, a non-hybrid 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six, a turbodiesel V6, a supercharged 5.0-liter V8, and a plug-in hybrid setup. The more efficient choices are the mild-hybrid inline-six, conventional inline-six, and turbodiesel, while the V8s deliver the strongest acceleration.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes low-speed automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, front-and-rear parking sensors, rain-sensing windshield wipers, traction control, a tire-pressure monitoring system, and a full array of front-and-side-impact airbags. Available features include a 360-degree parking camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, high-speed automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, driver-drowsiness monitor, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, and traffic-sign recognition.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses two 10-inch screens with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The upper screen handles navigation, phone, stereo, and smartphone integration, while the lower screen manages climate, seat controls, vehicle settings, and Terrain Response functions. It also includes a fully digital instrument panel, and a head-up display is available.
• Fuel efficiency: The mild-hybrid inline-six returns 19 mpg city and 24 mpg highway, while the diesel returns 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway. The plug-in hybrid is rated at 42 MPGe with 19 miles of electric range.

Which 2020 Land Rover Range Rover trim should I buy?

The 2020 Land Rover Range Rover is offered in 4 trim levels: HSE, Autobiography, SVAutobiography Dynamic, and SVAutobiography.

Here's the short version:

• HSE: This is the trim that adds meaningful comfort and convenience upgrades over the base model, including 20-way power-adjustable front seats, upgraded perforated leather upholstery, heated rear seats, and power-reclining rear seats. It’s the best-value choice if you want a richer cabin without jumping into the highest-priced versions.
• Autobiography: This trim brings a bigger luxury step up with semi-aniline leather, quad-zone climate control, heated-and-ventilated front seats, and massaging front seats. It suits you if you want the most upscale everyday experience before the lineup gets into ultra-expensive territory.
• SVAutobiography Dynamic: This is the performance-oriented trim, with a 5.0-liter V8 tuned to 557 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. Choose it if you want the strongest acceleration and the most dramatic driving character.
• SVAutobiography: This is the top luxury trim, with nearly every standard or optional feature in the lineup and unique styling touches. It’s the right pick if you want the most complete Range Rover experience and price is secondary.

The safety package is broad, but some helpful features remain optional rather than standard, including the 360-degree camera and blind-spot monitoring.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Land Rover Range Rover?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,031 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.06% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 77.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $32,722, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover's resale value?

The current average of $32,722 sits slightly below last year's $39,936.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current pricing trend points to a softer market than last year, so holding value may depend more on condition, mileage, and service history than on model-year prestige alone.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover safe?

The 2020 Land Rover Range Rover earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include low-speed automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, front-and-rear parking sensors, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. You also get traction control, a tire-pressure monitoring system, and a full array of front-and-side-impact airbags.

Available driver-assistance features include a 360-degree parking camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, high-speed automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, driver-drowsiness monitor, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, and traffic-sign recognition. The big caveat is that some useful features remain optional, so you’ll want to confirm exactly what’s on the specific vehicle you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2020 Land Rover Range Rover or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It benefits from incremental infotainment and safety updates while keeping the broad powertrain lineup.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $38,938, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $32,722 average.
• It adds a more current model-year alternative with the same upscale Range Rover formula.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2020 if you want the better value and a wider pool of discounted listings. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model-year alternative, the 2021 is the secondary path.
