How much does the 2020 INFINITI Q50 cost?

Prices have softened 3.81% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 431 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2020 INFINITI Q50 a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the Q50’s appeal comes from its mix of power, equipment, and value rather than constant reinvention. It was built around a familiar formula with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, a seven-speed automatic transmission, and a strong emphasis on standard features, which makes it attractive if you want a luxury sedan with a generous equipment list. The model’s long-running design also means you’re shopping a car that stayed largely consistent, which can be a plus if you prefer a proven setup over the latest redesign. 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2020 INFINITI Q50 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Q50 is described as generally solid on reliability, but it also has known trouble spots that matter for used buyers. Warped brakes are a common issue, and 3.0t models have been known to suffer from turbo failures. That means you should treat maintenance history and a careful mechanical inspection as essential before you buy.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 INFINITI Q50?

At 54.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any Q50 you’re seriously considering and confirm whether the car has accident, title, or repair records. Put a pre-purchase inspection at the top of your checklist, with extra attention to brakes, turbocharged powertrain condition, and signs of uneven wear. Focus on overall condition and documented maintenance, since those details matter more when you’re comparing similarly priced luxury sedans.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 INFINITI Q50?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 431 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.81% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 54.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,627, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 INFINITI Q50's resale value?

The current average of $18,854 sits slightly below last year's $19,601.

That softer pricing suggests the Q50 has already absorbed some of its depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. If you purchase near the lower end of the current range and keep the car in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it’s time to resell. The model’s value proposition is strongest when buyers see it as a well-equipped luxury sedan rather than a cutting-edge one.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 INFINITI Q50 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.81% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $20,653, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $18,854 average.
• It adds more driver-assist tech.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2020 is the stronger starting point because it costs less and still delivers the Q50’s core strengths. If you’re willing to pay more for newer equipment and a fresher feature set, the 2021 is the better alternative; if price matters most, stay with the 2020 and shop condition closely.
