Used 2020 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearRochester, NY

How much does the 2020 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 4.92% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 966 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable range of choices.

Is the 2020 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.53/5, and our experts give it 7.33/10. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, smooth ride, quiet cabin, and practical cargo space. The review summary also points to safety technologies and versatile features as recurring positives.

The trade-offs are the polarizing design and the unintuitive technology, especially the touchscreen and software limitations. That fits the Ridgeline’s role as a comfort-first pickup for everyday use rather than a truck built around maximum capability.

With its everyday-friendly packaging and relaxed driving character, it makes the most sense if you want a truck that behaves more like a refined daily driver. Good and great deals account for 33.9% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.53/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels dependable in daily use, with comfort and practical features that owners can count on. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that it is built around a multi-purpose platform and engineering shared with Honda SUVs, which supports its easygoing, durable character.

Honda’s standard safety suite adds to the sense that this is a well-rounded ownership proposition, and the model’s thoughtful design helps it fit long-term use well. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about outright fragility and more about making sure the technology and condition match the asking price.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Honda Ridgeline?

At 71.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the technology works the way you expect, since the infotainment and software are known weak spots.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Sport and RTL are the more basic trims, while RTL-E and Black Edition add more premium equipment. The base setup includes the 8.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Honda Sensing, but the higher trims bring more convenience and luxury features.
• Powertrain: The 3.5-liter V6 makes 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on Sport and RTL, while i-VTM4 all-wheel drive is standard on RTL-E and Black Edition and optional on the lower trims.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. RTL-E and Black Edition add automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic warning.
• Infotainment: The standard system uses an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. RTL-E and Black Edition add SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, navigation, and an eight-speaker premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The all-wheel-drive setup returns 21 mpg combined.

Which 2020 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2020 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Ridgeline formula with the V6, the 8.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Honda Sensing. It makes sense if you want the least expensive way into the model and do not need the extra luxury or convenience features.
• RTL: This is the trim to focus on if you want a better-equipped daily driver without jumping too far up the price ladder. It keeps the Ridgeline’s comfort-first character and is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it balances equipment and cost well.
• RTL-E: This is the step-up trim for buyers who want more convenience and tech, including the upgraded infotainment features and standard i-VTM4 all-wheel drive. It also adds the extra safety features that come with the higher trims, making it a strong pick if you want a more complete package.
• Black Edition: This is the most upscale version, aimed at shoppers who want the most premium presentation and equipment. It builds on the RTL-E formula and is the right choice if you want the top trim’s added features and appearance.

Honda Sensing is standard, while blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic warning are reserved for RTL-E and Black Edition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda Ridgeline?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 966 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.92% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 71.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,287, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $25,785 sits slightly below last year's $27,119.

That decline suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price more competitively to move a used Ridgeline. The current range still shows healthy demand, especially for well-kept examples with clean history and desirable equipment.

Because the model has strong owner satisfaction and a practical reputation, it should continue to attract shoppers who want comfort and versatility over maximum truck capability. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.53/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2020 Honda Ridgeline earns top marks in all but the small overlap frontal impact test for the front passenger, which results in an "acceptable" score from IIHS. It earns five-star ratings across the board except for a four-star rollover resistance rating from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. Higher trims add automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic warning.

The main caveat is that the lane-departure warning and adaptive cruise control are not as polished as they could be, so the suite is strong but not flawless.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.92% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.53/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Honda Sensing is standard this year, adding a meaningful safety upgrade.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,392, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $25,785 average.
• It looks more like a truck, which may matter if styling is a priority.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2020 is the smarter buy because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction and standard safety tech. If you are willing to pay more for a fresher look, the 2021 is the better path for buyers who care about styling and a more traditional pickup appearance.
