Used 2020 Honda Passport for Sale nearPortland, OR

How much does the 2020 Honda Passport cost?

Prices have softened 6.46% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 915 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2020 Honda Passport a good car?

Generally — the 2020 Honda Passport earns a 4.45/5 user rating and an 8.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Drivers consistently praise its comfort, spaciousness, smooth ride, and strong V6 engine, and many also like the cargo-hauling utility it offers. The Passport’s rugged two-row setup and thoughtful interior functionality make it a practical fit if you want everyday livability with extra capability. Trade-offs include poor fuel economy and some complaints about electrical issues and an infotainment system that can feel outdated.

With its mix of comfort and utility, it suits you well if you want a versatile SUV that can handle road trips, cargo duty, and occasional trail use. The market also shows 34.4% good or great deals, so there are still attractive listings to consider.

Is the 2020 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 4.45/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable-feeling SUV that many owners are happy to live with over time, especially because they value its comfort, smooth ride, and strong V6 power. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the Passport is built around practical, everyday usability and capable performance, which supports the sense that it is a vehicle you can count on for regular use.

If you buy used, the main long-term ownership risk is that electrical issues and aging infotainment complaints may show up more often than you’d like, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Honda Passport?

At 71.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of body panels, paint consistency, and any signs of prior repair. Because this model is often bought for comfort and utility, you should also focus on interior wear, electronics, and how well the cabin features work in daily use. If you’re comparing multiple listings, condition should matter as much as price.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Passport comes in Sport, EX-L, Touring, and Elite. The base Sport is the most stripped-down version, while higher trims add more comfort and convenience features; the Elite stands out with perforated heated and ventilated front seats, a leather-trimmed heated steering wheel, heated rear outboard seats, a 10-way power driver’s seat with memory, and a moonroof. Lower trims can also be paired with Urban and Adventure packages that add items like crossbars, underbody spoilers, and running boards.
• Powertrain: Every Passport uses a 3.5-liter V6 with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It makes 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, and front-wheel drive is standard on the lower trims while all-wheel drive is available. The setup is smooth and capable, but efficiency is a weak point.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes Collision Mitigation Braking System with forward-collision warning, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and a rearview camera with a birds-eye view. Higher trims add dynamic gridlines for the rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic detection.
• Infotainment: The base Sport gets a 5.0-inch display, while EX-L, Touring, and Elite trims get an 8.0-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher trims can also bring a 10-speaker audio system, satellite radio, two extra USB ports, a wireless phone charger, and a Wi-Fi hot spot.
• Fuel efficiency: Front-wheel-drive models are rated at 20 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined, while all-wheel-drive versions return 19 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined.

Which 2020 Honda Passport trim should I buy?

The 2020 Honda Passport is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, EX-L, Touring, and Elite.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the value-focused entry point, but it is also the most basic version, with the smaller 5.0-inch display and fewer comfort features than the upper trims. Choose it if you want the Passport’s core capability at the lowest price.
• EX-L: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the larger 8.0-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a more upscale everyday feel.
• Touring: This trim makes sense if you want more convenience and tech, and it is also the point where Honda Sensing safety technology and navigation are available for an extra fee.
• Elite: This is the most fully equipped version, with the richest comfort features and the most premium cabin presentation. It suits you best if you want the Passport loaded from the start.

Higher trims also open the door to more safety equipment, including blind-spot monitoring, parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic detection.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda Passport?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without rushing.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 915 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.46% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 71.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,231, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $22,517 sits slightly below last year's $24,072.

That price movement suggests the Passport has softened enough to give used buyers more leverage today, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy at the right number and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it’s time to resell. The model’s broad appeal as a comfortable, capable two-row SUV should help support demand.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.45/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Honda Passport safe?

The 2020 Honda Passport achieved good scores from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) crash test and evaluation, and it was named an IIHS Top Safety Pick.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard, and it includes Collision Mitigation Braking System with forward-collision warning, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and a rearview camera with a birds-eye view. Higher trims add dynamic gridlines for the rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic detection.

The main caveat is that the Passport lacks some of the more advanced driver-assist technology found in some rivals, so you should pay close attention to which trim you’re considering if safety tech matters most to you.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.46% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.45/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It carries over unchanged, so you get the Passport’s comfort-and-capability formula without a major redesign.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $20,567, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $22,517 average.
• It offers a simple, spacious, family-friendly SUV formula with high ground clearance.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,481, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $22,517 average.
• It adds some additional features while keeping the Passport’s comfort-and-capability balance.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, availability, and the Passport’s core strengths, the 2020 is the sensible pick. If you’re focused on saving money, the 2019 is the better value path; if you want a newer model-year step-up and don’t mind paying more, the 2021 is worth a look.
