How much does the 2020 Honda Odyssey cost?

Prices have softened 8.70% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,044 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2020 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.78/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the spacious cabin, comfort, and user-friendly features, and many also like the more luxurious feel and updated technology in newer models. That makes sense if you want a family minivan that prioritizes everyday usability, seating flexibility, and convenience. With 37.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find one that fits your budget.

Is the 2020 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.78/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes comfort, spaciousness, and user-friendly features, which are the kinds of traits shoppers often associate with a dependable family vehicle. Comments about the vehicle feeling trouble-free and easy to live with align with that broader satisfaction. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying too much for a van that may still need careful inspection because condition can vary widely from one listing to the next.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Honda Odyssey?

At 63.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you go any further. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on higher-mileage examples or listings with incomplete maintenance records. Focus your attention on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the cabin features and family-use equipment still work as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda Odyssey?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,044 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.70% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,868, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $23,895 sits slightly below last year's $26,171.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the van in strong condition, you can reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. Strong owner satisfaction also helps support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.78/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.70% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.78/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,268, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $23,895 average.
• It brings a freshened design with improved safety, upgraded technology, and enhanced utility.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the primary path because pricing has eased and inventory is broad. If you are willing to spend more for a newer, refreshed version with updated tech and safety improvements, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
