Used 2020 Ford Ranger for Sale nearOkeechobee, FL

How much does the 2020 Ford Ranger cost?

Prices have softened 9.26% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,412 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Ford Ranger a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Ford Ranger earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Technology.

Drivers consistently praise its great value, enjoyable driving experience, comfortable ride, sufficient power, and high-quality features. That lines up well with the Ranger’s use case as a midsize pickup for weekend projects, towing, hauling, and outdoor gear rather than full-size-truck duty. The main trade-offs are a cabin that feels cheap and advanced safety features that are not standard.

At 34.9% good or great deals, the market still gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Ford Ranger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a truck that feels dependable, with drivers highlighting its enjoyable driving experience, sufficient power, and comfortable ride. The expert evaluation also describes it as a balanced truck that does what is asked of it without falling below average in key areas. Ford’s maintenance coverage language is not included here, so the ownership picture is best judged by condition and service history.

For used buyers, the biggest long-term risk is buying a truck that has been worked hard or poorly maintained, so service records matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Ford Ranger?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every candidate, because accident-free listings are common but not guaranteed. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the transmission, suspension, brakes, and signs of hard use, especially if the truck was used for towing or off-road driving. Focus on cabin wear, feature operation, and whether the truck’s equipment matches the trim you expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The XL is the simplest version, with steel wheels, vinyl floors, manual air conditioning, cloth upholstery, and basic convenience features. The XLT adds a much better mix of everyday equipment, including 17-inch aluminum wheels, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, and Ford SYNC 3, while the Lariat brings leather upholstery, heated and power-adjustable front seats, push-button start, and ambient lighting.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder with 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, paired with a ten-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and four-wheel drive is available.
• Safety package: Ford CoPilot 360 is standard on the XLT and adds lane-departure warning and avoidance, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and reverse parking sensors. An available Technology Package adds forward parking sensors and adaptive cruise control.
• Infotainment: The XL gets a basic setup, while the XLT upgrades to SYNC 3 with an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and available voice-activated navigation. The Lariat adds a B&O sound system with ten speakers.
• Fuel efficiency: Rear-wheel-drive models return 21 mpg city, 26 highway, and 23 combined, while four-wheel-drive models return 22 mpg city, 24 highway, and 22 combined.

Which 2020 Ford Ranger trim should I buy?

The 2020 Ford Ranger is offered in 3 trim levels: XL, XLT, and Lariat.

Here's the short version:

• XL: This is the most basic Ranger, so it makes sense if you want the lowest entry point and can live without many comfort or tech upgrades. It covers the essentials, but the cabin and equipment are clearly stripped down.
• XLT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the biggest everyday upgrades, including SYNC 3, an 8-inch touchscreen, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, and Ford CoPilot 360. If you want the Ranger’s core strengths without feeling shortchanged, this is the trim to target.
• Lariat: Choose this if you want the most upscale Ranger experience, with leather upholstery, heated and power-adjustable front seats, push-button start, ambient lighting, and a premium B&O audio system.

Ford CoPilot 360 is standard starting on the XLT, so that trim is the smart place to land if safety tech matters to you.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Ford Ranger?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,412 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.26% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 76.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,503, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Ford Ranger's resale value?

The current average of $23,503 sits slightly below last year's $25,900.

That price movement suggests the Ranger has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. A softer market now can also mean less upside for immediate resale, so condition and trim choice matter more than ever. If you buy a well-kept truck with desirable equipment, you improve your odds of holding value better than the average example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Ford Ranger safe?

The Ranger earns a Good rating from IIHS and a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in most crash tests, four-star ratings in front passenger side testing, and three-star ratings in rollover crash testing.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The Ranger comes standard with front- and side-impact airbags, a child-seat anchoring system, a tire-pressure monitoring system, automatic headlights, automatic emergency braking, forward collision avoidance, and pedestrian detection. Ford CoPilot 360 adds lane-departure warning and avoidance, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and reverse parking sensors, with forward parking sensors and adaptive cruise control available through an optional package.

One caveat is that advanced driver-assistance features are not standard on every trim, so you should confirm the exact equipment on any used example you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2020 Ford Ranger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.26% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It balances strong towing and hauling ability with useful tech and a capable midsize-truck setup.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $22,093, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $23,503 average.
• It offers a simple, value-focused return with a single engine and transmission.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $25,646, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $23,503 average.
• It adds the Tremor package for more trail-ready capability.

The bottom line: The 2020 is the right pick if you want the Ranger’s strong power, tech, and utility at a softened market price. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2019 can save you money, while the 2021 makes sense if you want the newer off-road-focused upgrades.
