How much does the 2020 Chevrolet Trax cost?

There are 1,667 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Trax a good car?

Generally — the 2020 Chevrolet Trax earns a 4.3/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction for a budget-friendly subcompact SUV. The overview frames it as a practical, easy-to-maneuver crossover that gives you a smaller alternative without forcing you into a larger vehicle, and it emphasizes affordability as a core strength. It also notes that the Trax is straightforward and useful, with available all-wheel drive and a compact footprint that suits everyday driving. The market shows 30.5% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Trax reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests the Trax’s appeal comes from its simple, value-focused formula rather than standout performance, which can be a plus if you want a straightforward used SUV. For long-term ownership, you should still pay close attention to condition and maintenance history, since a budget-oriented model can become costly if prior care was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Chevrolet Trax?

At 64.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can catch hidden body, suspension, or repair issues. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of uneven wear, since those details matter more when you’re shopping a value-oriented used SUV.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Trax?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,667 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.04% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,100, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $12,100 sits slightly below last year's $13,450.

That decline suggests the Trax has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you may reduce the risk of taking the steepest depreciation hit later. The model’s value story is strongest when you enter at a discount and keep the vehicle in good condition.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $12,952, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $12,100 average.
• It adds helpful tech features that support everyday convenience.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2020 if your priority is lower purchase price and a broader pool of listings to compare. If you want a newer model and are willing to pay more, the 2021 is the better secondary path for buyers who value updated convenience features over savings.
