Used 2020 Cadillac XT4 for Sale nearColumbus, OH

How much does the 2020 Cadillac XT4 cost?

Prices have softened 11.03% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 931 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and condition.

Is the 2020 Cadillac XT4 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Cadillac XT4 earns a 4.67/5 user rating and a 7.00/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, luxury features, easy-to-use technology, and distinctive design. The XT4 also gets credit for being fun to drive and for delivering a powerful, quiet-feeling engine. On the other hand, the expert review points to noise and poor value for money as the main trade-offs, and the overview frames it as a premium small SUV that feels approachable rather than intimidating.

With its small footprint, broad appeal, and friendly daily-driving character, it makes the most sense if you want a compact luxury SUV that emphasizes personality and usability over maximum refinement. 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2020 Cadillac XT4 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with repeated praise for comfort, luxury features, and a strong sense that the XT4 is a vehicle you can count on. The expert review also reinforces that impression by describing the XT4 as easy to live with and pleasant in daily use, while the cost-effectiveness notes mention warranty coverage, roadside assistance, and a first maintenance visit on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the XT4’s appeal can be offset by noise and value concerns, so condition and maintenance history matter more than the badge alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Cadillac XT4?

At 72.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on signs of prior bodywork, uneven panel gaps, tire wear, and any evidence that the vehicle has been driven hard or repaired poorly. Because the XT4’s appeal depends heavily on comfort and refinement, condition matters a lot.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The standard Luxury trim is the entry point, while Premium Luxury and Sport add more equipment and a more upscale or athletic presentation. The base setup is the one most likely to leave you wanting more standard content.
• Powertrain: A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque powers the XT4, and a nine-speed automatic is standard. Front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is available if you want better traction and less torque steer.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning, front pedestrian braking, low-speed automatic emergency braking, and Safety Alert Seat, along with rear-seat reminder and Teen Driver. Premium Luxury and Sport add blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, and lane-change warning, while the Driver Awareness Package adds automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and a following-distance indicator.
• Infotainment: The XT4 uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, WiFi hotspot capability, Cadillac Connected Access services, and Bluetooth pairing for two devices. The system is easy to use, but the screen is on the small side for a luxury SUV.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA says a front-wheel-drive XT4 should get 26 mpg, and the test vehicle returned 24.8 mpg.

Which 2020 Cadillac XT4 trim should I buy?

The 2020 Cadillac XT4 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry trim, and it gives you the XT4’s core appeal without the extra cost of the higher trims. It makes the most sense if you want the XT4’s style and usability at the lowest starting point.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel and the equipment level used in the expert test vehicle. If you want the XT4’s comfort and premium presentation to feel more complete, this is the trim to target.
• Sport: Choose this if you want the sportier appearance and the trim that can be paired with adaptive damping suspension. It suits you best if you care more about driving character and visual presence than maximum value.

Safety equipment expands as you move up the range, with Premium Luxury and Sport adding blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, and lane-change warning.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Cadillac XT4?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough price softness to create opportunities.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 931 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.03% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,664, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Cadillac XT4's resale value?

The current average of $19,664 sits slightly below last year's $22,102.

That decline suggests the XT4 has moved into a more buyer-friendly pricing zone, which can help you if you're shopping now but may limit upside if you're planning to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that the market has already adjusted downward, so strong condition and a clean history will matter more when it comes time to list the vehicle.

Because the XT4 still has a clear identity and broad appeal, a well-kept example should remain easier to market than one with visible wear or a questionable history. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Cadillac XT4 safe?

The 2020 Cadillac XT4 earns five-star ratings from NHTSA, and the IIHS gives it Good ratings for moderate-overlap frontal-impact and side-impact protection.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward-collision warning, front pedestrian braking, low-speed automatic emergency braking, Safety Alert Seat, rear-seat reminder, Teen Driver, and automatic collision notification and emergency assistance. Premium Luxury and Sport add blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, and lane-change warning, while the Driver Awareness Package adds automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and a following-distance indicator.

A notable caveat is that adaptive cruise control is not included on the tested vehicle and requires the Driver Assist Package, which also adds high-speed automatic emergency braking and reverse automatic braking. The lane-keeping system was also described as hit-or-miss, so you should test it carefully if that feature matters to you.

Should I buy a 2020 Cadillac XT4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 XT4 is the least expensive Cadillac SUV, with easy-to-use technology and a friendly, approachable feel.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $18,693, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $19,664 average.
• It was Cadillac’s all-new compact crossover, giving it a fresh design and a practical engineering foundation.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced shopping opportunity, the 2020 is the stronger pick because it combines lower pricing than last year with solid owner satisfaction and a broad inventory. If your priority is saving as much as possible upfront, the 2019 is the better value play, especially if you find one in clean condition with a strong service history.
