Used 2020 Cadillac CT5 for Sale nearNashville, TN

How much does the 2020 Cadillac CT5 cost?

Prices have softened 5.57% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 396 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Cadillac CT5 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Cadillac CT5 earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, smooth driving experience, and comfortable interior. The attention-grabbing look and customizable features also stand out in owner feedback.

On the downside, experts call out the underwhelming base engine and irritating transmission, so you may want to avoid the least expensive setup if you care about driving refinement. The CT5’s appeal is strongest if you want a distinctive luxury sedan with polished styling and easy-to-use tech.

The market also shows 32.1% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Cadillac CT5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable-feeling, trouble-free ownership experience overall, with praise for the car’s smooth driving character and comfortable cabin. The expert review also describes the CT5 as mostly competent and confidence inspiring in everyday use, which supports the impression that it should be easy to live with.

Cadillac’s safety and driver-assistance setup adds to that sense of reassurance, especially when you move beyond the base trim. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is choosing a poorly maintained example or one with the less satisfying base powertrain.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Cadillac CT5?

At 70.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage or lower-priced example. Pay close attention to bodywork, alignment, interior wear, and any signs that the car has been repaired after a collision.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Luxury trim is the least expensive, but it comes with the base engine and lacks the stronger safety-technology setup found higher up the range. Premium Luxury and V-Series are the trims the review recommends for buyers who want the better powertrain.
• Powertrain: The base turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder is described as unrefined and down on power, while the twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 is the preferred engine and brings much stronger performance.
• Safety package: The CT5’s advanced safety-technology suite is available only after you move beyond Luxury trim. It includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, lane-departure warning, and parking assist with automatic emergency braking.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.0-inch high-definition touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Cadillac Connected Services through OnStar, a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot, and Near Field Communication one-touch smartphone pairing.
• Fuel efficiency: The twin-turbo V6 test car was EPA rated at 21 mpg combined, and the review notes 20.1 mpg in testing.

Which 2020 Cadillac CT5 trim should I buy?

The 2020 Cadillac CT5 is offered in 4 trim levels: Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and V-Series.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, but it comes with the base turbo four that the review says you should skip if you want the CT5 at its best.
• Sport: This adds a more aggressive appearance, but it still leaves you with the same underwhelming base engine, so it is not the best value if performance matters.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value choice because it unlocks the recommended twin-turbo V6 and gives you access to the richer safety-technology setup.
• V-Series: This is the most performance-focused trim in the lineup, with the twin-turbo V6 standard and the strongest overall powertrain setup.

The safety-technology suite is not available on Luxury trim, so if driver assistance matters to you, shop above the base model.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Cadillac CT5?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop, but the best examples still deserve quick attention.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 396 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.57% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,396, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Cadillac CT5's resale value?

The current average of $25,396 sits slightly below last year's $26,895.

That decline suggests the CT5 has become more affordable for used buyers, which can make it a tougher car for future sellers to command top dollar. If you’re planning to own one for a while, the current pricing trend may help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle.

Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should hold up better than base cars, especially if they present cleanly and have strong service history. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Cadillac CT5 safe?

The Cadillac CT5 earns five-star crash-test ratings across the board, including for rollover resistance.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Cadillac’s safety-technology suite is a highlight, but you need to move beyond Luxury trim to get it. Standard features in the available package include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, lane-departure warning, and parking assist with automatic emergency braking.

One caveat is that Super Cruise is not available for the 2020 CT5. The review also notes that the lane-keeping assistance is subtle enough that it can be hard to tell when it is active.

Should I buy a 2020 Cadillac CT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 CT5 is positioned as Cadillac’s replacement for the CTS, with stylish design and easy-to-use technology as its core strengths.

The bottom line: If you want the CT5’s fresh styling and user-friendly tech at a softened used-car price, the 2020 model is the right place to start. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep shopping carefully for a clean, well-equipped example rather than settling for the base trim.
