Used 2020 Cadillac CT5 for Sale near Maryland

How much does the 2020 Cadillac CT5 cost?

Prices have softened 5.04% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 389 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2020 Cadillac CT5 a good car?

Yes — with a 4.75/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating, the 2020 Cadillac CT5 lands as a strong overall pick for shoppers who want a stylish luxury sedan with approachable tech. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its stylish look, smooth driving experience, and comfortable interior, and they also respond well to the customizable features. The main trade-offs are a lack of power compared with competitors and some discomfort in the driver’s seat.

That lines up with the CT5’s role as a distinctive luxury sedan that feels modern and easy to live with, especially if you value design and user-friendly features over outright performance. With 35.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some attractive opportunities.

Is the 2020 Cadillac CT5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for its smooth driving experience and comfortable cabin. The review summary also highlights the kind of stylish, customizable ownership experience that tends to keep people happy over time.

From the expert side, the CT5 is described as mostly competent and confidence inspiring, with a suspension that soaks up real-world road imperfections without becoming harsh. Cadillac also gives you a polished adaptive cruise control system and subtle lane-keeping assistance, which supports the sense that the car is built to be easy to count on.

For used buyers, the biggest long-term ownership risk is choosing the wrong configuration, since the base engine and transmission behavior can make the car feel less satisfying than the rest of the package.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Cadillac CT5?

At 69.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, paint consistency, and panel alignment. Because accident history is common enough to matter here, it’s smart to focus on condition rather than assuming every example has been lightly used. You should also pay close attention to the cabin, since comfort complaints and visibility concerns show up in owner feedback.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Luxury trim is the entry point, but it comes with the underwhelming turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and lacks the richer equipment and safety-technology access that make the CT5 more appealing. Premium Luxury and V-Series are the trims that better match the car’s upscale mission.
• Powertrain: The base 2.0-liter turbo four is described as unrefined and short on power, while the twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 is the engine you want for stronger acceleration and a more satisfying driving experience.
• Safety package: The CT5’s advanced safety technology is available only after you move beyond the Luxury trim, and the car includes adaptive cruise control plus lane-keeping assistance when properly equipped.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.0-inch high-definition touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and over-the-air-style connected features through Cadillac’s system, along with useful physical controls.
• Fuel efficiency: The twin-turbo V6 test car is EPA rated at 21 mpg combined, and the review also notes 20.1 mpg in testing.

Which 2020 Cadillac CT5 trim should I buy?

The 2020 Cadillac CT5 is offered in 4 trim levels: Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and V-Series.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the least expensive way into the CT5, but it pairs the car with the weakest engine and misses the richer feel and equipment that make the sedan more convincing. It makes sense only if your budget is tight and you care more about getting into the model than getting the best version of it.
• Sport: The Sport trim adds a more aggressive appearance and sits above Luxury, but it still leaves you with the same underwhelming four-cylinder. It is not the best value if you want the CT5 to feel genuinely upscale or rewarding.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it unlocks the twin-turbo V6 and delivers the more satisfying balance of comfort, performance, and equipment. If you want the CT5 to feel like the luxury sedan it should be, this is the trim to target.
• V-Series: This is the choice if you want the strongest factory performance and are willing to pay for it. It builds on the V6 formula and is the right pick if you care most about power and a more serious driving experience.

Safety technology is not available on the Luxury trim, so if that matters to you, shop above the base model.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Cadillac CT5?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, which gives you room to shop carefully and wait for the right example.

• Deal availability: 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 389 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.04% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 69.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,773, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Cadillac CT5's resale value?

The current average of $25,807 sits slightly below last year's $27,178.

That decline suggests the CT5 has become more affordable for used buyers, which can help you if you’re shopping now but may mean less upside if you plan to sell soon. The current pricing trend also shows that the market has already adjusted downward, so future resale gains may depend more on condition, mileage, and trim choice than on broad market movement.

If you buy the right version, especially one with the stronger V6 and good overall condition, you should have a better chance of holding buyer interest later. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment tend to stand out more when shoppers compare listings.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Cadillac CT5 safe?

The Cadillac CT5 earns five-star crash-test ratings across the board, including for rollover resistance.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Cadillac’s safety-technology suite is a highlight, but you need to move beyond the Luxury trim to access it. When equipped, the CT5 includes adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assistance, and the system is tuned to operate smoothly rather than intrusively.

One caveat is that Super Cruise is not available for the 2020 CT5, so hands-free highway driving is off the table for this model year. The IIHS had not rated the car at the time of the review.

Should I buy a 2020 Cadillac CT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 69.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 CT5 stands out as Cadillac’s replacement for the CTS, with stylish design and easy-to-use technology.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest used CT5 pricing and a sedan that already feels modern, the 2020 is the right place to start. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep shopping the market closely and focus on well-kept examples with the V6 and the right equipment, since those versions best capture what makes the CT5 worth buying.
