Used 2020 Cadillac CT5 for Sale nearLas Vegas, NV

How much does the 2020 Cadillac CT5 cost?

Prices have softened 4.88% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 398 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2020 Cadillac CT5 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Cadillac CT5 earns a 4.75/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its stylish look, smooth driving experience, and comfortable interior. The user feedback also points to customizable features and a design that stands out, while the overview frames it as a distinctive luxury sedan with easy-to-use technology and a polished, modern feel.

The main trade-offs are the underwhelming base engine and the irritating transmission. In practical terms, that means you’ll be happiest if you value style, tech, and everyday comfort more than outright performance.

The market also looks reasonably supportive, with 32.9% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2020 Cadillac CT5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a car that feels stylish, comfortable, and easy to live with, which supports the idea that many owners find it dependable enough for regular use. The expert evaluation also describes the CT5 as a car that delivers significant bang for your luxury-sedan buck, with a polished driving experience and a cabin that feels more upscale than its price might suggest.

The twin-turbo V6 setup is described as competent and confidence inspiring, and the expert notes that the car’s real-world suspension tuning is fantastic on imperfect roads. The cost-effectiveness commentary also suggests the CT5 offers strong value for the segment, which can matter when you’re thinking about long-term ownership.

For used buyers, the biggest ownership risk is choosing the wrong configuration, since the base engine and transmission behavior are the weak points that can shape day-to-day satisfaction.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Cadillac CT5?

At 71.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of body panels, paint consistency, and any signs of prior repair. Because accident history is common enough to matter here, it’s smart to focus on condition, not just price. If a car has been repaired, make sure the work was done cleanly and that the cabin, electronics, and driving behavior all feel consistent.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Luxury trim is the entry point, but it comes with the base turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that is described as unrefined and not well suited to the car. Premium Luxury and V-Series are the trims that bring the more satisfying twin-turbo V6, and the Premium Luxury version is the best-value recommendation because it adds the stronger engine without jumping all the way to the V-Series.
• Powertrain: The CT5 is offered with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder or a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6. The V6 is the engine you want if you care about smooth, strong acceleration and a more satisfying driving experience.
• Safety package: The CT5 includes adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assistance when equipped with the full safety feature set, but you need to move beyond Luxury trim to access it. Super Cruise is not available for this model year.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.0-inch high-definition touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Cadillac Connected Services through OnStar, a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot, and Near Field Communication one-touch smartphone pairing. Navigation and a 15-speaker Bose Performance Series sound system are optional.
• Fuel efficiency: The twin-turbo V6 test car is EPA rated at 21 mpg combined, and the expert test result came in at 20.1 mpg.

Which 2020 Cadillac CT5 trim should I buy?

The 2020 Cadillac CT5 is offered in 4 trim levels: Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and V-Series.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the least expensive way into the CT5, but it comes with the base turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that the expert review says you should skip. It makes sense only if your priority is the lowest entry price and you’re comfortable giving up the stronger powertrain.
• Sport: This trim adds a more aggressive appearance, but it still uses the base four-cylinder, so it doesn’t solve the biggest weakness in the lineup. It’s best for shoppers who care more about styling than performance.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim because it unlocks the twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 as an option and pairs it with the more upscale, comfortable character that suits the CT5 best. If you want the version most aligned with the car’s strengths, this is the one to target.
• V-Series: This is the most powerful choice, with the twin-turbo V6 standard. It’s the right pick if you want the strongest performance in the lineup and are willing to pay for it.

For safety equipment, you need to move beyond Luxury trim to access the CT5’s full safety-technology suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Cadillac CT5?

The market looks moderately favorable if you’re a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 398 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.88% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 71.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,778, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Cadillac CT5's resale value?

The current average of $26,018 sits slightly below last year's $27,354.

That decline suggests the CT5 has moved into a more buyer-friendly pricing zone, which can help future sellers understand where the market currently stands. If you buy at today’s average, you’re starting from a lower baseline than last year’s shoppers, which can reduce some near-term depreciation pressure. The year-round range also shows that well-priced examples can move quickly when they land near the lower end.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Cadillac CT5 safe?

The Cadillac CT5 earns five-star crash-test ratings across the board, including for rollover resistance.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The CT5’s safety-technology suite includes adaptive cruise control, regular cruise control operation, lane-keeping assistance, and lane-departure warning through the Safety Alert driver’s seat. The expert review also notes that the system worked without false warnings and that the adaptive cruise control maintained distance smoothly.

One important caveat is that Super Cruise is not available for the 2020 CT5, so you should not expect Cadillac’s hands-free driver-assist system on this model year. You also need to upgrade beyond Luxury trim to access the full safety feature set.

Should I buy a 2020 Cadillac CT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.88% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 CT5 is the first model year of Cadillac’s CTS replacement, and the expert review highlights its stylish design and easy-to-use technology as key strengths.

The bottom line: The 2020 CT5 makes the most sense if you want the fresh styling, strong tech, and value-oriented pricing of the first model year. If you’re price-sensitive, the current market softness and decent inventory make it worth shopping carefully, but you should still prioritize a well-kept example with the right trim and powertrain.
