Used 2020 Audi SQ7 for Sale nearDallas, TX

Is the 2020 Audi SQ7 a good car?

The 2020 Audi SQ7 earns a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, and Technology.

You get a midsize luxury three-row performance SUV with a strong design identity, a high-tech cabin, and serious straight-line pace. The SQ7’s turbocharged 4.0-liter V8, standard adaptive air suspension, and Quattro all-wheel drive make it feel composed and quick, while the twin touchscreens and Virtual Cockpit give the interior a distinctly modern setup.

The main trade-off is that its design may not appeal to everyone, and the price puts it well above the regular Q7. Even so, 40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Audi SQ7 reliable?

The SQ7’s expert coverage points to a robust, well-engineered powertrain and a mild-hybrid setup that can recover energy and support efficiency in some situations. Its performance content also emphasizes a strong V8, an eight-speed automatic, and Quattro all-wheel drive, which suggests a drivetrain built for sustained capability rather than short-term novelty.

Audi’s 48-volt electrical system can help with coasting and energy recovery, and the vehicle’s standard adaptive air suspension and driver-focused hardware reinforce the sense of a thoroughly developed package. The available maintenance perk language is not present here.

For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk is less about outright mechanical drama and more about the complexity and cost that can come with a high-performance luxury SUV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Audi SQ7?

At 72% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a performance SUV with advanced electronics and a complex drivetrain. Pay close attention to bodywork consistency, wheel and tire condition, suspension behavior, and whether all driver-assistance and infotainment features operate as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SQ7’s cabin stands out for its twin touchscreens, Audi Virtual Cockpit, and clean, high-tech layout, while the exterior design is sharp and distinctive. The base setup already includes a lot of equipment, so you should focus on whether the example you’re considering has the features you want rather than assuming a major equipment gap.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 with 500 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque, an eight-speed automatic, Quattro all-wheel drive, and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The EPA estimates 15 mpg city/21 mpg highway/17 mpg combined.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes Audi pre-sense basic and front, high-beam assist, cruise control, parking system plus with front and rear acoustic sensors, and a top-view camera system with Virtual 360. Available systems include active lane assist, adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, head-up display, night vision assistant, and intersection assistant.
• Infotainment: The SQ7 uses Audi’s latest MMI system with haptic-response touchscreens, wireless Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, voice recognition, a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot, integrated toll module, and Audi Virtual Cockpit plus. The integrated Google Earth navigation display is also standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA estimates 15 mpg city/21 mpg highway/17 mpg combined.
