That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance records and overall condition, since long-term ownership risk is always lower when the vehicle has been well cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Audi Q5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then confirm the vehicle’s maintenance record and any prior damage claims. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment. Focus on cabin condition, electronics, and signs of uneven wear so you can judge whether the premium feel matches the asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Audi Q5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on standout listings.

• Deal availability: 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,412 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.88% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 75.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,540, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $18,540 sits slightly below last year's $21,781.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current trend means your best resale outcome will depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market appreciation. Well-kept examples should still attract interest because the Q5’s premium image and comfort-focused appeal remain strong.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.88% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $21,268, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $18,540 average.
• It adds a plug-in hybrid option for buyers who want more efficiency potential.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the stronger buy because pricing has eased and owner satisfaction is high. If you’re willing to spend more for the added plug-in hybrid option, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
