Used 2019 Volkswagen Golf R for Sale nearPhiladelphia, PA

How much does the 2019 Volkswagen Golf R cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 112 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2019 Volkswagen Golf R a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 5/5, and the feedback points to strong performance, practical everyday usability, and a premium-feeling interior. The review summary also highlights its compact size for urban driving and its dynamic driving experience, which fits well if you want a fast hatch that still works as a daily driver. The main tradeoff noted by owners is a missing sunroof feature compared with European models. With 36.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Volkswagen Golf R reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary emphasizes that owners see it as dependable in the ways that matter most to them: it delivers a trouble-free-feeling ownership experience, strong long-term appeal, and the kind of performance they can count on day to day. That combination suggests the car’s reputation is built on more than speed alone.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the overall concept and more about how well a specific example has been maintained and driven.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Volkswagen Golf R?

At 72.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership history before you get too far into the process. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of past repair work. Because this is a performance hatch, you should also focus on how the car feels under load and whether the overall condition matches the asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Volkswagen Golf R?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 112 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,623, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Volkswagen Golf R's resale value?

The current average of $29,226 sits slightly below last year's $29,448.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which is helpful if you plan to sell later because it points to predictable pricing rather than sharp swings. A steady price trend can make it easier to estimate your future trade-in or private-party value. Strong demand for well-kept examples should also help support resale performance over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Volkswagen Golf R or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest blend of performance, usability, and owner satisfaction, the 2019 is the one to target first. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2019’s strong market position and high owner approval.
