Owners repeatedly praise its power, luxury features, comfort, capability, and styling, and the overview shows why it appeals if you want a heavy-duty truck that can handle serious towing and payload work while still offering upscale tech and comfort. Is the 2019 RAM 3500 reliable?

The owner summary also points to dependable performance, with praise for its power, comfort, and capability suggesting a truck many drivers feel confident living with over time. At the same time, some owners mention mechanical concerns, so you should treat condition and maintenance history as important parts of the decision. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is manageable if you choose carefully, but it is not a truck to buy without a thorough check.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 RAM 3500?

At 68.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any truck you are seriously considering and confirm whether prior damage was cosmetic or structural. Put inspection priority on frame condition, suspension wear, signs of heavy towing, and any evidence of mechanical issues mentioned by the seller. Because this is a heavy-duty truck, you should also focus on how it was used and whether the condition matches the mileage and asking price.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,027 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.03% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,090, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $42,090 sits slightly below last year's $45,766.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you keep the truck in strong condition and avoid examples with accident history or unresolved mechanical issues, you give yourself a better chance of holding value. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?
