How much does the 2019 Mercedes-Benz S-Class cost?

Prices have softened 13.44% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 586 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz S-Class a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Mercedes-Benz S-Class earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Owners consistently praise its luxurious feel, advanced technology, strong performance, craftsmanship, spacious interior, and safety features. That lines up well with its role as a flagship sedan for you if you want a car centered on comfort, innovation, and a premium driving experience rather than value-first shopping.

With 33.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively without feeling rushed.

Is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz S-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with praise centered on the car’s strong performance, craftsmanship, and advanced technology. That kind of response suggests you can count on the model to deliver the refined, trouble-free feel many luxury buyers expect when they plan for long-term ownership.

For used buyers, the main risk is less about the car’s appeal and more about the cost of keeping a complex luxury sedan in top condition over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Mercedes-Benz S-Class?

At 67.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury sedan where repairs can be expensive if hidden issues show up later.

Focus your condition check on signs of past bodywork, uneven panel gaps, interior wear, and any evidence that the car’s advanced equipment has not been maintained properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Mercedes-Benz S-Class?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 586 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.44% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 67.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $38,967, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz S-Class's resale value?

The current average of $38,967 sits slightly below last year's $45,017.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more selectively now, but it also means future resale gains may be limited unless you choose a particularly well-kept example. For you as a seller later, condition and documentation will matter a lot because buyers in this segment tend to reward clean history and strong presentation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Mercedes-Benz S-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction, softened pricing, and broad inventory in this generation. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2019 stands out as a compelling choice when you want flagship luxury and are willing to shop carefully for condition and history.
