How much does the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA cost?

Is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a compact luxury sedan that blends style, technology, and everyday usability in a way that feels more upscale than its size suggests. You also get a comfortable, easy-to-live-with ride and a cabin packed with tech, so it fits well if you want a small luxury car with a polished driving experience and a strong emphasis on design. The tradeoff is that it is not the most practical choice in its class, especially if you prioritize maximum utility over premium feel.

34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2019 CLA is presented as a comfortable, easy-to-live-with luxury car with a premium cabin and a polished overall feel. At the same time, its expensive ownership profile and less intuitive control layout mean you should expect a used example to reward careful shopping and maintenance history review. For long-term ownership, the main risk is buying a car that has been neglected or worn by costly premium-car use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA?

At 57.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on bodywork quality, electronics, and how the transmission behaves off the line. Because this model emphasizes comfort and technology, condition matters more than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough deal activity to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.34% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,784, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA's resale value?

The current average of $15,872 sits slightly below last year's $17,506.

That price movement suggests the CLA has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilizes. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in strong condition, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss when it is time to sell. The model’s premium image and comfort-focused appeal can help support demand, especially among shoppers looking for an entry-level luxury sedan.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.34% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $20,847, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $15,872 average.
• It was redesigned for 2020 with coupe-like styling and a more dramatic performance-luxury feel.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2019 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability. If you are willing to spend more for a newer redesign and a more dramatic presentation, the 2020 is the better upgrade path.
