At 54% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Mazda MAZDA6?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 274 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.75% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 54.0% of listings are accident-free.

What is the 2019 Mazda MAZDA6's resale value?

The current average of $17,714 sits slightly below last year's $18,598.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and mileage will matter even more because buyers will have plenty of comparable listings to choose from. A well-kept example should still hold attention better than one with visible wear or a rough history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Mazda MAZDA6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.75% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $16,248, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $17,714 average.
• It adds a more upscale feel with a redesign, a new Signature trim, and a turbocharged engine.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, deal availability, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2018 is the better value play, especially if you find one with a clean history and the right trim.
