At 66.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. Focus on overall condition, repair quality, and signs of wear that could affect long-term ownership costs.

What is the 2019 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $28,058 sits slightly below last year's $29,076.

That softer pricing can help you buy more efficiently today, but it also suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation. For a future seller, that means resale value may be steadier if you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition. The RX’s strong owner satisfaction should help support demand when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $26,042, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $28,058 average.
• It adds a third row for buyers who want extra seating.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $32,524, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $28,058 average.
• It adds more tech and a more refined cabin experience.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the best all-around pick if you want the strongest mix of price, satisfaction, and market availability. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2018 can save you money, while the 2020 makes sense if you want to spend more for newer features.
