About 2019 Lamborghini Aventador
For 2019, Lamborghini debuts a new trim of the Aventador. As before, the Aventador comes as either a hard-top Coupe or Roadster, which features manually removable roof panels. Both share a dramatic, wedge-shaped body full of creases that blend the best of form and function. The base Aventador S, available in both body styles, returns for 2019. Lamborghini expands the lineup with the Aventador SVJ, which is also available in both Coupe and Roadster body styles. The “J” stands for “Jota,” indicating that this is the highest-performing version of the car that Lamborghini will ever produce. The biggest upgrades in the SVJ are to the exterior, with enhanced aerodynamic measures through newly designed fins, intakes, and spoilers. Beyond that, the Aventador SVJ and the Aventador S feature a range of stand-out paint colors; 20- or 21-inch wheels ranging from diamond to matte-black finish; bold caliper color options like red, orange, green, yellow, black, silver, and bronze; carbon fiber details; and colored suspension options. The Aventador S boasts a massive 6.5-liter V12 engine that makes 740 horsepower and 507 pound-feet of torque. You can either let the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission do all the work, or shift the gears yourself via included paddle shifters. A standard drive-mode selector lets you pick between Strada, Sport, Corsa, and Ego modes. The Aventador S also employs a suite of technologies called Lamborghini Active Vehicle Dynamics (LDVA), which includes 4-wheel steering, 4-wheel drive (4WD), and an active suspension at all four corners, allowing it to accelerate to 60 mph in under 3 seconds. The Aventador SVJ uses the same engine as the Aventador S but gets a boost to 760 hp and 531 lb-ft of torque. The Aventador returns 9 mpg city, 15 highway, and 11 combined. Inside, Lamborghini maintains the Aventador’s distinguished style, featuring unique racing seats that come with carbon fiber detail and available heated seats. Other features include customizable colored seat belts, interior trim seat options like leather upgrades, a leather steering wheel, and carbon fiber pedals in customizable colors. Like most vehicles in this category, there are just two seats and a maximum of 5.3 cubic feet of front storage space. Standard equipment on the Aventador includes a full-LCD instrument cluster; a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and navigation; a reversing camera; rear-park assist; and keyless access. Upgrades include a garage-door opener and a telemetry system that can let owners record lap times on most tracks worldwide. While not crash-tested by the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the Aventador has safety features such as electronic stability control. The Lamborghini Aventador is the same supercar that’s been admired since 2012. For 2019, the new Aventador SVJ model enhances that vision further in the model’s epic saga.
