Used 2019 INFINITI QX80 for Sale near Illinois

How much does the 2019 INFINITI QX80 cost?

Prices have softened 13.79% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 621 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used QX80s to compare.

Is the 2019 INFINITI QX80 a good car?

Yes — it earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, smooth ride, luxurious features, spacious interior, and stylish design. That lines up with the QX80’s use case as a large, comfort-first luxury SUV for you if you want presence and capability more than modern tech. The market also shows 33.0% good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2019 INFINITI QX80 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with praise centered on its powerful performance, smooth ride, and comfortable, spacious cabin. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the QX80’s body-on-frame construction and strong towing ability give it a durable, truck-like character. It also benefits from a straightforward, traditional mechanical setup that should feel familiar if you prefer proven hardware over complexity.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a luxury SUV this old can bring higher upkeep costs, especially if prior maintenance was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 INFINITI QX80?

At 68.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on bodywork, paint quality, and signs of prior repair. Because this model is expensive to fuel and has a premium-luxury mission, condition matters a lot more than mileage alone. Focus on how well the cabin, electronics, and exterior finish have held up, since those are the areas most likely to affect your ownership experience.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Limited adds two-tone 22-inch rims, unique gray metallic paint, stainless steel running boards, and a special black-and-white interior with microsuede and richer trim details. The Luxe is the more practical starting point if you want the core luxury experience without paying for the top trim.
• Powertrain: The QX80 uses a 5.6-liter V8 with 400 horsepower, 413 pound-feet of torque, and a 7-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive is standard on the Luxe, while selectable 4-wheel drive is optional on the Luxe and standard on the Limited.
• Safety package: Forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection comes standard. Lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, rear emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring are optional, so you should check carefully for the features you want.
• Infotainment: The touchscreen is controlled by a rotary knob, but the system is dated and lacks Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The rear entertainment system can accept USB and HDMI inputs, and the rear-view mirror can display a live camera-feed overlay.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA rates the QX80 at 13 mpg city, 19 highway, and 15 combined with 4WD, and 14 city, 20 highway, and 16 combined with RWD. The expert test also notes that fuel economy is poor.

Which 2019 INFINITI QX80 trim should I buy?

The 2019 INFINITI QX80 is offered in 2 trim levels: Luxe and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• Luxe: This is the trim to target if you want the QX80’s core strengths at the lowest entry price. It gives you the big V8, the traditional luxury-SUV feel, and the option to add 4WD if you need it.
• Limited: This is the best fit if you want the richest cabin and the most distinctive appearance. It adds the special two-tone wheels, unique paint, stainless running boards, and the black-and-white interior treatment, and it comes standard with 4WD.

The Limited is the most luxurious trim, but the Luxe is the better value for most used buyers.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.79% compared with last year.

What is the 2019 INFINITI QX80's resale value?

The current average of $20,674 sits slightly below last year's $23,980.

That decline suggests the QX80 has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you own one, condition and equipment will matter a lot when it comes time to resell, especially because shoppers in this segment compare luxury features closely. A clean history and strong presentation should help you protect value better than mileage alone.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 INFINITI QX80 safe?

The 2019 QX80 earns four-star ratings overall from NHTSA, with two-star ratings for the driver and three-star ratings for the passenger in frontal crash tests, and five-star ratings in side-impact tests.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection comes standard, while lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, rear emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring are optional. The QX80’s older body structure is a concern, and the expert review notes that it did not fare well in frontal crash testing.

Should I buy a 2019 INFINITI QX80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It remains a lavish, pricier, comfort-first full-size luxury SUV with strong towing ability.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $21,824, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $20,674 average.
• It brings a more luxurious take on the Nissan Armada with more premium accommodations.

The bottom line: If you want the lower price and are comfortable with the QX80’s older tech, the 2019 is the smarter buy. If you can stretch for a newer model and want a slightly more polished luxury feel, the 2020 is the better path.
