Is the 2019 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — the 4.78/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. You’ll also see recurring praise for its smooth ride, high-quality interior, and practical features like the in-bed storage bin and comfortable seating. That makes it a strong fit if you want a pickup that feels more refined and everyday-friendly than a traditional truck. Is the 2019 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.78/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes dependable day-to-day use, with praise for its trouble-free feel, comfortable commuting manners, and confidence-inspiring ownership experience. For used buyers, that suggests the Ridgeline can be a sensible long-term choice if you prioritize consistency over rugged-truck character. Still, you should focus on maintenance history and overall condition to reduce long-term ownership risk.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Honda Ridgeline?

At 70% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has higher mileage or visible cosmetic wear. Focus on overall condition, because a well-kept Ridgeline is more likely to deliver the comfort and practicality that make this model appealing.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda Ridgeline?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop selectively without expecting deep discounts on every listing.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 896 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.30% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,263, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $22,846 sits slightly below last year's $23,871.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and mileage will matter a lot, especially because buyers tend to reward clean, well-kept examples in a model like this. A truck with strong owner satisfaction can still hold demand better than average when shoppers are comparing used options.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.78/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.78/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $25,737, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $22,846 average.
• It adds a more comfort-focused, everyday-friendly driving feel.

The bottom line:
You should lean toward the 2019 if you want the better value and are willing to shop carefully for condition and history. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model year, the 2020 is the better secondary path for buyers who want a slightly more polished ownership experience.
